It's about time. I remember when this market was supposed to be served out of PIT once the new airport was built.

we already serve that market its just going daily 🙂 but i am happy more flights to get home 🙂

I am surprised that you know who hasn't told you why this won't work.....

I was thinking the same exact thing when I posted the topic.

dang.... it's great to be missed esp. when whole topics are started and responded to based on my absence or presence.

It's not a question of whether it could work; it's a question of whether DL wants US starting service in a market that DL already serves and what other markets DL will start in US territory in order for US to succeed at starting a single RT PHL-SLC.
What some of you have a hard time accepting is that DL has the size and profitability to far better control its markets and where it wants to go than other carriers do. WN's growth for decades has been fueled by being more profitable than other carriers such that it can slowly push its way into other carriers' territories.

It's basis business strategy.

BTW, DL is now the largest carrier in LGA-PIT.

Remember CLT-SLC.

wonder how the lga pit run is doing and how is the clt slc doing

according to DOT data, both DL and US are showing comparable loads on both routes.

DL added mainline aircraft to LGA-PIT after the latest DOT data became available.

DL and US obviously coexist on the east coast but DL has increased its presence in US markets far more than the other way around since DL emerged from BK.

are you sure that us does lga pit? i thought that ended a while back they just do lga to phl dca bos clt and phx trips

US has five rj's a day between LGA and PIT.

Looking at the 17th of January, USAirways Express run SEVEN flights a day in the LGA-PIT market using CRJ,E170 and E175 aircraft. Delta on that day, Has FIVE flights operated as Delta Connection with E175 and CRJ 700 aircraft. Delta also has ONE mainline flight a day using an A319 aircraft. So US has more flights but DL has more seats.

suppose those FC seats are helping sway business travelers away from other carriers who use single class jets, including RJs?
