Piney, you are right. The "majority" did not vote in JM, the "majority of voters" did, and it's a moot point. The 36% does not surprise me; it speaks to the apathetic society in America today. (Speaking of which, been to the DMV lately?OK now help a poor customer understand your math.
Approximately 2,200 F/A's in PHL, 795 of whom voted. Since when is 36% a majority of anything.
Of the 795 who voted 274 voted for JM or 34.4%,
Of the 2200 total only 12% of eligible voters chose JM.
I'm just real interested in how the vote can be construed as a Majority by any definition of the word.
This is not a knock on JM. I met him once on a flight. Nice enough guy. Maybe he will rise to the occassion and lead. But to say he had a majority of the vote defies the basic principles of Math.

Let's hope that JM knows what he is doing; would like to see some sort of Eline from him, anyone know when that is coming??
