Also look like flights are leaving late already in PHL, but hard to say whether it's related to the crossover or is it just Philly being Philly.
That's what I've been seeing also. Seems like Express is doing better than mainline - possibly due to less passengers to handle per flight. The outstations were a mixed bag with their 1st mainline originators to CLT/PHL, some on time and some as much as 15-30 minutes late. Both CLT & PHL mainline departures seem to be generally running late, with CLT about 20-40 behind and PHL 30-60 late.

Apparently some things are going well and others are not.

FlyerTalk is reporting long lines at some airports because the Kiosks are still down.
Did Tempe have any foresight to add staffing to the busier stations this weekend?

Being that the web site was to be down for 2 hours, 2-4et, and it went down early too It was down 6 hours and I would think they had a few problems. Staffing extra help would be paying out more money. How free spending are they at any thing?

Thanks! Hope you will be able to keep us updated. I have two Express flights today.

I tried to check in using on-line check in. Website gave me an error stated that my reservation was out of sync. Rather than call the website help desk phone number I used the on-line chat help desk. They answered in less than 2 minutes and fixed it in 2 minutes.

I was able to print out my boarding pass for tomorrow.

My reservation for SFO has disappeared so I am going to call the CP line to find out what happened to that.

Just an update to say that things appear to be going about as they were earlier - Express generally operating closer to schedule than mainline with mainline departures generally running 20-40 minutes behind @ CLT & 30-50 behind @ PHL.

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that people have been waiting in line to check in over 2 hours @ CLT and some are being told to go home.

Haven't seen any news on Philly.com yet.

The website now has a travel advisory:

Due to heavy passenger volume and long check in lines, you may experience delays at the airport. Please allow additional time for early check-in if you are departing from any of these cities.

Cities Affected:
Boston, MA (BOS); Charlotte, NC (CLT); Philadelphia, PA (PHL)

I thought they said this weekend was picked because of light passenger volume, but apparently lots of unexpected passengers showed up

It appears that ops in CLT are going downhill fast, at least according to flightstats.com. They're showing the O/T departure rate for the 9am-12noon period below 20% and that includes 3 UA codeshare flights that operated O/T and a dozen or so US flights that were scheduled to depart before noon that aren't airborne yet but still showing as O/T.

According to the CLT Observer article quoted two posts back, it's a mess...

Passengers said they were waiting in lines for more than 2 hours -- and they still hadn't been able to speak with a ticket agent. Around 10:30 a.m., US Airways began encouraging people to go home, saying it was unlikely they would be rebook passengers for later flights.

The problems stems from the airline's switch early this morning to a single reservations system. All of the self-service kiosks in the old US Airways network -- most of the east coast of the U.S. -- were down. Ticket agents are trying to do work that's normally handled by the kiosks.

"We have every IT person working on it," said US Airways spokesman Phil Gee.

Gee said at noon that some kiosks were coming back online. Four are currently working at Charlotte/Douglas.

Looks like they updated that article since I first read it - seems like the Observer finally realized the switchover was last night instead of tonight.

Now let's see if there are any consequences to this or if they give awards out to the migration team
