It's nice to see that the company is starting to send West planes to the East for heavy checks (according to the mtx. planning layout). The 37's are first in May with the Airbus slated for early June. The writing is on the walls for all the PHX techs.

How is the writing on the wall when your Heavy Checks on the 737s are being performed by Timco at Lake City, FL and not by HP AMTs in PHX?

About last year when I worked a lot of ATL-PHX, I would always run into pilots deadheading out of ATL back to PHX that dropped our B737's in Macon, GA. One of them said that there is always at least 1 plane there. I know that the B757's usually get dropped in florida somewhere.

You're right 700. Our 37's are currently at Timco but as of this month and the months to come, they're going east along with our buses. The 57's are not on the schd. yet. I'm glad to see work stay in house, but if they're taking it out PHX, then maybe the company doesn't need the hanger or the people  . Just a thought! 😉

so how big is the CLT and PIT hangar compared to the PHX one

CLT is the largest hangar in the system, only one capable of holding the A330 totally enclosed it is a five bay hangar.

PIT hangar 5 can accomodate 3 757's tailed in or 3 A321's tailed in or 5 737's, 3 tailed in and two nosed in between.

PIT hangar 5 can also handle one 767 in center bay and two 737's on each side. One support shop attached.

Hangar 3 and 4 can accomodate 6 737-300's. Also has an orifice door so the 757/767 and the A330 can fit in it.
