What hospitalization plans does AA have?

Basically, you can check into any veterinary clinic of your choice with a $1000 deductible per occurrence and 80% copay.

is this company wide? varies in any way by workgroup?

It is as far as I know.

Blue Cross Blue Shield

AA is self insured and uses several insurance companies to manage the program depending on the state where the employee lives. BCBS of Texas is the preferred administrator for residents of TX and CA. In other states the preferred administrators are either BCBS, UHC or Aetna.

To sum up the AA plans if you use $10000 worth of health care services you will pay out around $7000 including the cost of the plan, deductibles and copays. It doesnt really matter which plan you chose.

Pretty bad when a "Val Pack" coupon gets you more respect at the Dr office than your insurance card.
