Just like with ALPA & the AFA, the company payment to the IAM was to pay for the IAM Financial and Legal Advisor services. Without the company agreeing to pay these fees, the IAM could have accessed the membership to pay for your Financial and Legal Representation.

The so called "pork" was negotiated so you and your colleagues would not have to pay for services to review the company books, review briefs, sit in on discussions, and provide expert opinions to your negotiators.

Isn't that what my dues money is for? Oh, I forgot, they mail most of that to the democrats and keep the rest for overpaid overhead.

Only thing Im confused about is why the IAM has not asked the mechanics why they voted no and what they could change to obtain a yes vote.We have not seen or heard from anyone at the IAM.No meetings, nothing. The only items the IAM has to bargain with is goodies obtained for the IAM. No way is the IAM going to give up their pork. Dave you should not have let the IAM stuff themselves with pork at the expense of mechanics wages and benefits, now it could be bad for everyone. VOTE AMFA!
