Who would you vote for? IAM or TWU

If there is an AA and US merger, who would you vote for?

  • IAM

    Votes: 7 63.6%
  • TWU

    Votes: 4 36.4%

  • Total voters
    11
I'm not at AA or US, but if only given the choice between the IAM & TWU, I'd go with the former. For far too long, the TWU at AA (I'm thinking of Fleet Service here) led the way in giving away scope , work rules, etc., and the rest of the industry paid the price as a result.

Well since your just a passenger you shouldnt post at all, but you stick your nose in everywhere and usually with false information.
Are you not just an unruly passenger on a AA forum?

There is Alot to think about for this VOTE, its easy to Be An ARMCHAIR Q/B. Think about it, what would the AMFA , TWU or IAM Org's do for Our Position? We will have to go with The BEST Contract taking The M&R US/AA People Forward. The IAM Contract VS The TWU M&R Contract. Have You all Compared? These TWO Animals? We are doing that as WE speak. You also have to consider How many Mechanics will be laid off? What Rules? If they Null The TWU AA contract then Where does Seniority Play out? Do The AA Mechanics get stapled to the Bottom of the List> HUMM lots to think about. Mr Eagle

BWAHAHAHAHAHA, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IAM, TWU..... BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

I haven't ever realized how funny you were. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Are you upset because your current union, the Teamsters, was not included on the poll??

Come on guys, show some love for whoop whoops. He is a long time member in good standing of the IBT, and would like this well known fact reflected here. It is unfair not to include the Teamsters in this poll.

Shame on you 700UW for upsetting my union brother. In the future, please try to be more respectful of all us UA Teamsters who are invading your threads and getting in your business.

Kinda like choosing the gas chamber or the electric chair!
Good one! None of the above. Remember the IAM. gave up ALL their rights when AA bought TWA. Now TWU is giving up all our job protection. Neither has done anything for their memberships (mechanics that is) but push for less pay and benefits. If these are the only choices then I will vote for neither.
