Wich Union Will .....

and so i have a queerie:
lets say a runoff has come and gone....IBT gets in the driver seat......will the ex IAM at U step up to the task and roll up their sleeves and work as IBT to further the goals and ideals they worked so hard for ?
or will they cower in the corner licking their wounds?

This is a good question dell......it could be asked both ways. Myself........I would say no matter who is in the driver seat, it would be foolish not to step up and support them. There will be time to "lick wounds", but then we need to get over it and MOVE FORWARD.

Guess you can't figure out that the IAM and US could not reach an agreement and voted on a final offer, it is called concessions, and since the Mechanic and Related had all ready given two rounds of concessions in the first bankruptcy the only thing left was scope and jobs.

Since no agreement was reached the Judge abrogated the contract, to keep labor peace the company came out with a final offer for the membership to vote on. The membership ratified the final offer which enabled the company to outsource the 757, 767, A330 and 50% of the 737s.

ITEM#1 SCOPE as I see it you got the S-Check by giving up the 757,767,and A330 and the Company may outsource a max of 50% REQUIRED Q-checks and any and all SHOPS/AREA as discribed in Attachment C this list has 33 shops on it.

ITEM#7 279 Minimum A/C " The scope and job security of the Jan 2003 Agrrment requiring the company to maintain a minimum fleet size of 279 total mainline aircraft will be ELIMINATED."

Some people can twist the words around I dont see where 700 would agee with anyone he blames the judge here.

See if you were at US you would understand that, go ask ALPA, AFA, CWA and TWU why they gave up jobs also.

Sorry to burst you bubble but I do work hands on in the maintenance department, and LCC/East does heavy checks.

In reading your contract I don't see where the judge had anything to do with it. Just someone to blame.

From post I have read the posting of your IAM contract is the first time some of the people in the IAM have seen it. How did you get your members to vote for this.

its easy....after being abused again and again at some point you lay prostrate with your can in the air just waiting because it just doesn't matter anymore.
 
It is apparent he does not understand the Section 1113 C Bankrutpcy procedings.

I called Mr70 on a pay post he was wrong on and he left the string. is that what you do? Run when proven wrong? See below

I dont see how you passed the third grade? I'm toped out at $23.35 + $2.00 for lic. + .35 shift pay = $25.70 OH I work in the hanger just so numbers are the same. Just a wrench. IAM top out $22.77 + $1.00 for lic. + .00 shift pay =23.77 with your whooping 1% 2006,1% 2007, 2%2008, 2% 2009 That is $24.00/06 and $24.25/07 and $24.73/08 and $25.22/09 That is good math in 4 years you will still be .55 cents behind what I'm making NOW

That is $3536.00 less in 06, $3016.00i n 07, $2018.00 in 08, and $999.00 in 09 ==TOTAL OF $9569.00

no dude point is after 15 or more years of fighting continual givebacks the members caved and did what they had to to save their jobs.of course IBT wouldn't tolerate this and would close the place down??
and for the record i voted to reject the contract modifications so don't include me in your assertions.
