Wich Union Will .....

Is there something so hard to understand that the company tried the facilities crap and lost in court and arbitration?

The Airbus Arbitration is precedent setting, is that too hard to comprehend?

The language has been tested and the IAM prevailed.

And by the way we have two bays in a five bay hanger in CLT sitting empty.

Don't let the facts get in your way of a rant.

"The Company may outsource all 757, 767, and A330 maintenance" this is certainly a fact to celebrate.
:

The IAM/US contract scope language covers 100% of the A320 family and 50% of the 737 heavy maintenance work.
That IS a fact to celebrate and the fact the US Airways is still in business, and we just received a $100.00 bonus. How many people said we would never receive that.....

yeah - Toast to the pay cuts, vacation loss, holidays that flew the coup, and 50% for sick time.

Why don't you tell me how many mechanics at HP do overhaul?

Not much to celebrate is it Awa Contract? With the seniority issued solved, DOH is what will be used, we need to start thinking about which contract we want. We would be very foolish to want the current IAM contract. I'm voting Teamsters its the only and the best way to go. At least it's the better of two evils........

Tell the 1,000 mechanics at US who perform heavy mtc that you want to eliminate their jobs.

And no one knows if there will be a vote or not.

800+ of us we do daily maintenance (through flight, 4-days 8-days A.B,E check and a phase check which is a modafided c-check.) Why wate tell it is really broke. We keep them flying.

OH by the way what are your S check and Q checks

LOL.....well good morning Mr. 700.......how are you today?

The Teamsters strongly believe in keeping what they have in house. They have shown that time and time again with the current AWA contract.

You are correct no one knows yet if there will be a vote but if there isn't we all lose.

That is a very good question. I can only quess that an "S" check is spelled SEE. Is that what you call a "C" check. Ok....ok......I'll stop.......this is not a constructive comment. Sorry.

700,

Stop wasting your time. The vast majority at U clearly understands what our scope language means to us...and many are not too horribly bent out of shape about what areas of our current CBA is lacking in comparison the what the IBT has at HP.

Most at U understand that the loss of Heavy Maintenance will lead to hundreds of job losses for both Mechanics , Foremen , Planners , Material Planners , Stores Clerks and the 50 remaining Utility workers that are spread between PIT and CLT. The ripple effect of losing any degree of Base Maintenance will create a shock-wave throughout the combined system that will hender the entire operation for years to come too

Scope and shear numbers will rule the day in the end...and that's only if it does come to a vote?

The handfull of IBT supporters here are just a collection of "Individualists" whom are worried about only themselves and their vacation and sick policy perks. Whoopie...it means nothing to someone whom is about to be sold out so a senior guy can lay-out at full pay on top of an added week of vacation.

They obviously aren't scared about senority...so throwing their young and our young under the bus means nothing to them. Its the "all about me mentality that we at Old U have often bashed ALPA for having.

You really see the true colors of supposed "Trade Unionists" when the flame gets bumped up at notch...and frankly I hope I never have to encounter a person like these that think their welfare out weighs the welfare of the greater majority. Trade-unionists they are NOT. They are more in line with the greedy A-Holes that have run you into the ground...and parted with their pockets full of Our money

The question was how many mechanics perform Heavy mtc not line.

So how many HP mechanics overhaul your A/C?

We have 1,000 base mechanics and 900 line mechanics, approximately

An S-check is the term used for the overhaul of a A320 family Aircraft and the Q-Check it the term for the overhaul of the 737 aircraft, see if you at HP actually did them in-house you would know what the terms mean.

Well I have worked for overhauls stations on Airbus, Boeing, Mcdonald Dougles aircraft and never heard of S or Q check are these checkes based on cycles, time, days, or month in service. Is this some sort of USAirways maintenance plan.

So...you are supposed to have overhauled a Boeing an Airbus and possibly a Big Mac or is that McDonald Douglas product a Quarter Pounder with cheese?

The name is McDonnell Douglas 🙄

Kids talk like that too when they can't give an intelligent answer. Please excuse Mr. 700 for his..........remarks. Thank you.

Thank you for the spelling leson.

Can you answer the question.

The S-check term is from Airbus itself, who set up the original maintenance program on the A320 Family Aircraft.

It is a 5 year time check, not cycle driven and US/East is now 5 1/2 years I believe and the newer A320 models are 6 years.

The Q-check program is a (Cumulative Check) not sure if that is exclusive to US or not, that is time or cycle driven depending on which comes first.
