Please answer the Poll honestly, not wishfully 🙄
I want to know what you think the TWU will do not what you hope they will do.

Keep in mind they have not striked in over 25 years ?
will next year be the one. 🙄

Raptor, This has to be the most stupid and idiotic poll ever posted on US Aviation. I think everyone knows what is the obvious.

Not as long as PAAnsy AAss Little is in charge.

This is how it will play out. Oil is going to get real expensive, (AA has to replace it's Fleet) to try sidestep the increased price of fuel, gain revenue momentum, pay off the debt, and compete in a detoriating domestic environment. All the while, during negotiations, during a US recession. Forget about the Executive stock options, that is a given, (funny money) they will get their money no matter what....

What will happen, if all 3-unions get what they want? (which, AA, feels it can't realistically afford). Well, in a nutshell, they would give it to us! Then they would let AA, decline toward bankuptcy, and take it all back! Thus then starting the whole process all over again (with the knife at our throat). They are not going to let us get anything back, they want a zero-sum labor force- (pretty much what has transpired with WTO/ NAFTA).

I belive it is all over for us...

What is sad is the poll asking about the TWU in the contaxt of "THEY" instead of "WE"

Who is "THEY" when you refer to the TWU Raptor?

Why are people responding to this person ? After reading many of his posts it is painfully obvious he is working for the company. Probably has a cubicle in the whitehouse or hdq where his job is to watch these boards all day and try to persuade people to lay down....

The problem is, this guy who outed himself years ago as Dan McCoy is still listed on the title 1 seniority list.

Although I don't question the fact that he is doing the company's work.

Dan McCoy here.

I am listed as Danny Ray McCoy or Dan Ray McCoy but those are the only two names that I go by.

That company/union line has been blurred considerably by the efforts of the TWU.

Who knows - Raptor may even be Mr. Our Pay.

Obviously it is not Obvious at all the Poll does show that their are different opinions on what will happen.

and No I am not part of Management, I am a Title 1 A&P Mechanic with over 20 years seniority, I have been around AA a long time and have worked in many different area's not stuck in one spot for 20 years.
I have seen alot over the past 20 years and have guessed the actions of the Membership on many occasions.

It is my Perception/Observation that in todays Unions there are more Men who happen to be in a Union than their are hardcore Union believing Men, Unions are not what they use to be back in the coal miner days, they have changed over time as society has changed, where once they were growing now they are shrinking.
It is not just companies that are killing Unions it is the workers themselves, if Union's do not survive maybe it is just the destiney of an evolving society.

To TWU Informer: They are the Leaders of the TWU and We are the followers REMEMBER well all except me ofcourse and probably many others who are not succeptable to mind control.

The last union meeting was held with a strike authorisation vote. It is only symbolic, but I think a lot of people were suprised at how much anger there is. I honestly believe that if we strike that will be it for me at aa. So be it, but if the co. proposals offered are passed we will get 1000 bucks a year in exchange for retiree medical. Think about it, staying ten more years untill you can get on medicare. For what? A good paying job that is slowly eroding into what subcontractors earn.

That really makes no sense at all.... Please !!!!!
First of all it is too soon to ask for big raises ... with oil going in the direction that it is and the economy slowing down, no way will we get any money back. Also if we strike, gov't will intervein and here comes binding abbritation. Now we will be in the position to be compared to other airlines.... you know how that will be played out.
BK will not happen as the laws have changed so much .... and we have too much cash to do so...

MaaRk - wake up... It doesnt matter how much you have on hand... The company can file at any time. you also need to look at your debt... AA has way more debt than cash on hand... Cash on hand doesnt save your arse, and you will find this out in negotiations, bend over baby..
