Baloney!! I don't believe that for a moment!! Good grief if that is the case then why linger there in misery. Why not get on with your life and find another job. If people are that miserable it will reflect in their job performance and no wonder the bookings are dropping off.
 
Alot of questions to get answers for before a yes or no vote can be cast. What will happen if they don't get the required quota for EO? Yes, I know, we're lining up at the door 😛 , but what if? When and how will EO be done. Sounds like the company could drag their feet on actual EO dates. What does lifetime benefits mean...what cost is involved, what's the pecking order for that benefit. Seems like alot of vague language that I would like more claifications on.

I cannot believe that many people actually voted YES that they would accept that proposal. That is amazing to me!!!!!


Every one has a different situation. For me personally I am in the midst of a background interview for law enforecment. I would take the cash and free flights along with the 1 year of medical and at least I WOULD FEEL LIKE I left this company with Something.
 
Pit res knows they are on the chopping block. So whats the choice? Quit now and leave with nothing, wait until they close it and without a contract just get unemployment, or take a year too look for new a new job with your health care covered, 20 grand , and unemployment benefits.
I don't think that should be a tough decision at all. I'll vote yes. It is what ALOT of people are waiting for.
 
A question for all those that think this latest proposal is so bad. What parts of the proposal do you see getting better?????? Bottom line is the company will get what they want and it doesn't matter if you vote it in or not!! If you do not vote for this latest proposal, then the one on the Judges's desk is the one that will be imposed and it has vacation at 3/4 pay plus the buy out does not include the $5,000 bonus for resv. It is very unlikely that CWA will have any luck inproving on the present proposal. Bottom line is the company has decided to contract out most of resv and they will do it just the same as they are paying you 21% less for every hour you work now. Past tract record proves it won't get any better than this!!!!!!!!!
 
Interesting to see the divergence of opinions now that there is a buy-out proposal for both the CWA and the AFA.

Personally, I'm leaving with my pride intact. And that is more than enough.

Everyone has their own agenda. There is never going to be a contract that pleases everyone. Each one of us must make a decision that we feel is in our own best interest. And the majority wins.

I would say you are the stupid one but I won't go to your level, everyone has a right to their opinion and everyone is coming from somewhere different. Many people have been wanting to leave US and this is a good option for them. I for one am not broke and I know how to finance my money but I plan on doing better things with my life then sitting on a phone and asking "you are going from where to where?" Also I don't want to work for a company that treats their employees like garbage, I would rather move on to a job that I enjoy and an employer I can RESPECT!! So yes the buyout is a GREAT option for me but I understand that it doesn't work for some of my coworkers but I don't call them stupid for voting no and for wanting to stay. I have two words for you..GROW UP

Ask any agent who has had a res office closed (SYR,DAY,MCO,SAN)
how they would have felt about a buyout had they been offered one, and if they had known in advance their office was closing. They would have taken it and moved on unless they were crazy and living in a dream world.
Listen up PIT RES! They are closing the office! Soon! TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN!
Tell the union- THE company is going to outsource reservations- THEY ARE ALREADY TRAINING ATENTO for sales calls. It is going to happen through a vote or through the court, and I want that contract in place when it happens. Or they will just close up PIT and we can all walk away with nothing except PA unemployment. We all deserve a little bit more than that.
PRIDE does not pay the light bill...
 
How on earth can any one even think about voting yes........I would love to meet them......

I went on the last on a few interviews with this company today and some of the conversation is about the future and about moving forward....

The writing is on the wall here and there is no future here. The idea of a working group for one goal escapes these idiots and I tell you they are idiots....

They have driven customers away and the ones that haven't left get abused every time they get on one of our jets. I checked this guy in the other day who paid 1055.00 for a RT ticket only because we are the only game in town............
So they get him.... but think of how many drive because they just don't get it.

So you would rather the comany go under and walk away with nothing rather than take the buyout and walk away with cash and some benifits.

It is time to more on here... vote yes or stand in line for food stamps. What do some of you think the company is going to offer here? This is the BEST it is going to get. You can hold out for more but you will be holding for a lnog time and its still not going to come your way. I'm just glad the company caved in on the 75% vacation. I believe if I was so unhappy with my job I would have left months ago. So, if you are one of the people that keeps saying that you can walk away from this company and get a better paying job, then i suggest you do just that, and let the ones who want this company pull through take our chances.
 
Everyone has their own agenda and must do what is right for them in their current situation. The big question in my opinion is why would anyone that can get out with $ and insurance for a year stay? The company is going to eliminate retiree med benefits, reduce/eliminate 401 k contributions and for those who still have a pension, stop that as well. The only things to look forward to by staying is working under more harsh conditions, less vacation, less holidays and fewer desirable shifts until the age of 65 or older. I for one am tired of working holidays, weekends and nights...with well over 20 yrs with the company. It is time to move on and if I can do that with some benefits, then that is great. Again, everyone must do what is right for them. The bashing of fellow employees who disagree with you is childish and serves absolutely no purpose what so ever!
