Actually I bought a house 7 months AFTER I started working in aviation but then again I no longer work for U and have never worked for AWA.

Comparing UPS with the new US Airways or any other airline is like comparing apples to oranges. Flying freight from point a to point b is much more lucrative than flying passengers.

The comparison is made of IBT contracts.

The airline industry is changing as we all know. The good money of the pre-regulation days is gone. The entire aviation business is changing and the courts are disloving contracts left and right. The present administration of the United States is for big business not for the worker. Unions need to be "flexible" or they will be broken. This is not my idea, it is a fact, and has been shown to be true. These days its not how tough is your union, it's how tough is your attorney? The bankruptcy laws are working against the common worker.

A raise,youll be brought up to our current pay scale,GSE and all Facilty mechs make the same as A&P types...topped out now is 22.77 as compared to what your non A/C mech's make.

You wont be second class citizens here,all mechs make the same.

ya ya I know let er ripe,the rest will take a pay cut,well so will ours if they go IBT,alot more than you a/c techs will loose.

The GSE guy will make $32.80 a day more...let them do the math...
