US used to have a few ex EA 57s i remember they were the ones w the 600 tail nbrs believe that HP also had some

The tail numbers were 600 through 609 and 618 were the former EA birds.

Didnt 612 thru 616 were us birds they got from ea?

No those were brand new from Boeing.
 
600, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609 and 618 were all former EA birds.
 
US' first new build was 610, that was the "Ideas that Fly" plane.
