Jack Knows Pto And Opus

No I'm still waiting on you guys to return or your positions to get filled, whichever comes first.
Looks like you may be there awhile, NWA can't seem to attract enough gypsies and you can be certain a mere handful will cross the picket line to work in your midst.

I really don't think that it is going to be that much longer. NWA has a hiring freeze while they wait and see what AMFA is going to do. I know they have over a hundred applications from scabs that are on hold until after the election. These jobs will not remain open for much longer.

Yeah NW did put the hiring freeze on but almost every job would have been filled already had the HR dept gotten their head out of the bum. There are some darn good mechs caught in that freeze <_< but I dont hold out much hope for the amfa mechs coming back and neither do alot of the managers. Although there is a dtw flight line supervisor that is doing his level best for you amfa guys Jack F. is working hard every day to run off as many guys as he can, but my guess is if he doesnt watch it he is gonna get run off himself. Heard things are so bad for amfa they are consolidating locals and had to stop officer elections because of money issues, umm says alot and every other union is working on starting card drives guess that pretty much sums up solidarity. I supposed that solidarity means how many people can you stab in the back to keep your job or is it how many people can one guy fire or how many people can you screw in the name of seniority regardless of your qualifications or how much money can you cost the company with asinine work rules???????

Survival of ‘The Company’?
Why?
Survival of the 'company' at the expense of the employees, shareholders, bondholders, contractors, etc… (of which employees were once shareholders) is not admirable.

Why should the company survive?

Oh, that’s right…………..
Executives and Pilots………..

“And socialism isn't very American.†

Guess we should erase FDR from the books as we are headed in the opposite direction.

big e, what you dont or wont grasp is what some of us have already figured out. The only aviation work that will be in the usa is line maint. and maybe not even that soon. All heavy work will soon be done in china and colombia and there will only be line maint here and now since the feds want to help the budget defecit by importing more workers and charging large fees for visas you can be there will be aviation contract companies that want to bid on line maint. at the hubs. NO AMERICAN can work for what they will work for SOME OF US SAW THIS COMING ALONG TIME AGO and some of us are going to earn what we can while we can. SOME OF YOU JUST DONT SEE THE BIG PICTURE OR REALIZE WHAT IS COMING because you sight doesnt go past your unions latest memo on talking points

You see it coming yet continue to assist in the acceleration.
You have already given up and have destined your offspring to a life of servitude.
You must be the ‘SCAB’ orator to go against what you know is right in the long term for a few pieces of silver in the near term. It is very fortunate that our forefathers did not have your intestinal fortitude and personal convictions or we would certainly be speaking German and/or Japanese. With the people of your mindset and actions we will soon be back to an 80 hour work week with no holidays. To be ‘globally’ competitive, means to send your children to slave factories at 12 years old.

Get used to it; it’s the future of your children that ‘YOU’ built, but I will have no part of it.

In this case big e you are wrong "what you know is right in the long term" NO AMFA IS WRONG HAS BEEN WRONG WAS WRONG period wrong, they chose to fight a fight at a time when there was NO POSSIBLITY OF WINNING WITH NEGOTIATORS THAT COULDNT NEG. THEIR WAY OUT OF A WET PAPER BAG. The timing could not have been MORE wrong and that was done at the expense of workers. By the way it is my understanding amfa is not a union but rather an association with emphasis on the first 3 letters of association. THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO WILL NOT SEE

Much like the 'International Association of Machinists?
I am a 'Member' of AMFA and you 'SCAB' have the tenacity to tell me what is going on?

'TIMING'....................Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!

You A$$holes will be waiting for 'Timing' and never make a stand!!!

BTW, 'YOUR' understanding of 'UNIONISM' is 'IGNORANT'.

Give me your definition of a 'Union' der 'SCAB'.

THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO WILL NOT SEE

Yes, I agree you are a myopic ignoramus.
You prove it with every post.
Point?

Jelly spined SCABS don't take a stand for anything. Your wasting your time trying to talk to those guys. The only thing a SCAB cares about is himself.

"AMFA is the most democratic union there is." "The members have the say at AMFA." AMFA is great!" "I love AMFA!" "You really need to read the AMFA constitution to find out what AMFA is all about." WHAT A JOKE!

Members voted to strike to fight against the NWA concessions. This vote was made with down played information of NWA's preparedness for a strike.

30 days later AMFA officials initiated the strike without a second vote from its members.

NWA makes another offer that is turned down by AMFA officials with no vote from the members.

NWA makes another offer that is turned down by AMFA officials with no vote from the members.

NWA makes another offer and freezes the hiring for permanent positions for two weeks, AMFA teases its members with an opportunity to vote then throws the two week grace period away on the freeze and makes a decision without giving its members a chance to vote.

AMFA's philosophy, Its all or nothing. Congratulations NWA AMFA members you now have nothing.

It's not all or nothing you lying SCAB. AMFA was willing to negotiate but NW was inflexible in their demands. People like you interfered with the whole negotiating process-hope your proud-you've helped to drive wages and compensation down at least 20 years. I don't understand how you can live with yourself. The members of AMFA took a stand. You wouldn't know how to take a stand. Selfish ba$tard.

Why didn't AMFA give its members another opportunity to vote. If they had voted each time against the concessions that would be fine. The problem I am having with this whole thing is that they were never given another opportunity to vote.

why should you "HAVE A PROBLEM" with this whole thing? If being a scab as you claim, what difference does it make to you? you hate unions remember, especially AMFA. I suspect your really an IAM company bootlick who is nothing more than an imposter with an axe to grind

local, do you ever get anything right? Just because I dislike unions doesn't mean I dislike the members. I am certain there are many that I would dislike but that is beside the point. Most of these guys are simply being played as expendable pawns by greedy union officials who pretend they actually care. As soon as all you union fanatics wakes up and realizes this we can get rid of all these bogus unions and eventually try again. The current system of corrupt unions is not working. I know that you can see this, I just don't understand why you continue to support it.

PTO, there is only one reason, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA they are sheep and like it that way, besides they seem to have some sort of unexplainable bootlicking fetish because they keep mentioning it in their postings, like going to work has something to do with polishing shoes with their tongues, certainly not the way I polish work boots, maybe just an amfa thing ;)

Are you telling me that a handful of lowly scabs, the wrench gypsies that know nothing about aircraft, that only had a few weeks training, are responsible for the down fall of AMFA? The almighty, democratic AMFA that stands solid in its solidarity? proAMFA, I sure hope you are pro-something else otherwise you are pro-nothing.

A company that has happy workers has productive workers, and more offen than not a profitable and ever-expanding business. Case in point; Southwest Airlines, who is the most unionized and profitable carrier flying today. For the most part, SWA takes care of their people, and it shows every quarter.

Now, if you want to look at a number of carriers that continously made management blunders while crapping on the employees, of whom are expected to pay for these management mistakes, look no further than TWA, Eastern Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta, and US Airways. These current and former management teams have continuously made foolish, greedy, inept business decisions while enriching themselves off the backs of the frontline employees.

When it comes time for the inevitable slide into bankruptcy, the employees of these disfunctional or now defunct carriers are supposed to "buck up" and accept whatever comes their way because they are: "Just lucky to have a job" and should be thankful for the scraps that are thrown their way.

Are we to just accept the fact that robber barron type corporate criminals like Carl Icaan, Frank Lorenso, Doug Steenland, Don Carty and a host of others are just the way it is in the airline world??? I think not.

Most of us that have a spine feel that Chapter 7 liquidation should be the result of these failures as we no longer are willing to finance what will most likely be a fatal result in the long run anyway. If they can't run a business in a just and correct manner, than it will die as it should. The persistant failure of the non-existant business plans or the business plan of hiding behind a bankruptcy judge to void union contracts, pensions, and paying creditors is wrong. This while the corporate elite float away with millions? NO MORE!!!!

Let the business die a Chapter 7 liquidation death, as those of us are sick and tired of giving in to the coporate greed "more is not enough" mentality while the workers that helped build the company suffer. No worker wants to see its employer fail, but at some point you must draw the line.

I am not willing to give another dime. Seriously. Do you get it????

I get your position, which means if you really hate it that much, then leave. Go find another job.
