Amazing how so many who post on this page arent even active iam fleet service members. You are not even a member and are clueless. Fwiw most (prolly 95%) of all members in iam141 do not believe they are getting their dues worth. Now you can continue to blame the members, or myself, or the republicans or even your flying spaghetti monster, but you cant blame the RLA. The RLA has produced minimal strikes and one of the highest wage/benefits out of any industry. Its an inconvenient truth for you.But we have hope to get all these corporate whores out of our union. They dont realize they are core whores but the dumb ass contracts they endorse cant deny them.
BANKRUPTCY. C'mon Tim SAY IT, SAY IT!!!!! Don't you want that cookie?

After sorting through 6 pages of posts debating facts, I have come to the conclussion that myself, along with others on this forum, cannot seperate the lies from the truth. One thing I know for certain. The discussion on this forum, intentional or not, is not condusive to solidaraity within the Fleet Service group at US and serves as a distraction to our current status in contract negotiations. The battle line is this week in DC. The  support and focus should be on that front. IMO... for the betterment of the membership; the politics, second guessing, divisive opinions must wait! I know there are members who feel we are entitled to better representation from the IAM. I know there are opposition slates running against the incumbent district 141 Officers and for the first time in many years against the incumbent International Officers. Unfortunately, this circumstance has taken priority, for some, over the immediate task at hand for the US NC and the members they represent. Change may be coming within the IAM. From the very top to the district level. Unfortunately, while we chatter and bicker over politics the US Fleet may become collateral damage. FAll IN! Lock and Load! Second guessing is for losers! Every member must do what they need to do! It's time we get what we came here for!

Tim what part of OVERNIGHT ultra cleaning did you not understand. Title 2 which performed that job was also paid less than Fleet Title 3.
Some stations may have still performed that work in house if they were too small to contract it out? But I am a hub guy so not so sure. And cabin work to this day is still in our SCOPE if the company needs us to perform it.
Ok so you say you are in MIA guess you don't see all the Eulen America employees doing jobs of former AA/TWU.

It can't even be close to 70% let alone 95%. What you should do is compare % to those that actually vote. The rest know they have a union but don't know the first thing about how to use it to their advantage.
voting is a different matter but id b surprised if 10% think they arent getting short changed.

Any word out of DC, thought maybe something would have leaked. If the mediation booard rules in our favor what is the timeline for the release?

Thank you rockit. I'm sure that's the thing we would all rather be paying attention to and waiting for. Instead of the rest of the distracting drivel. Fingers crossed for good news for all. Probably a little too early though.

BANKRUPTCY.
The loss of jobs is unfortunate but yes I agree BANKRUPTCY caused it. At least Eulen America isn't an IAM represented contractor and compared to Prospect (ORD) or AirServ (DFW) and G2 at BOS Eulen America isn't bad.

...And for anyone that wonders what NO Scope gets you, take a look over at the DL ramp, where those same Eulen America employees are working ~25 mainline flights/day...

Thank you for admitting that Bankruptcy has caused most of the hardships we've faced in both our companies and the industry since deregulation Tim. I'm very glad to hear you finally admit that you can't blame your Union or their negotiators for such tremendous circumstances. Now you are on the road to giving them your full support for gaining a fair and equitable contract.

Bravo. I salute you.

Why would an alleged financial person for JP Morgan involve himself in this and know so much?

Things arent as they seem.

Look for the last time I am not Tim. Tim is an honorable person but I assure you I am not Tim. I split my time between BOS and MIA, maybe I can meet you at the airport sometime to prove I am not him.
