Lots of opinions and speculation on many issues. The impact of filing or not filing SCS by the TWU. The course of action the company will take if the TWU were not to file. Litigation against the TWU seeking huge monetary remedial action for the company or ruled as a minor dispute subject to arbitration. Ruling by the NMB of impasse. When, if ever, will the NMB release the parties? What is the IAM's plan B going forward if the NMB continues their inaction? Duration of contracts being driven by terms of office and officer elections within the IAM. Can one opposition candidate, if elected in June, effectively turn these perceived wrongs around? Let's wait to see how things play out. As time goes on light will be shed on many of the issues raised. When that happens... wrong opinions and false speculation will be seperated from the truth. Elections are in June for DL 141 Officer positions and in April for Grand Lodge Officer positions. Given what has happened at Boeing and UA I would think the last thing any incumbent officer needs right now are more dissatisfied members at US.

It was stated in the bulletin that "DP lied to JP Morgan investers last week" well since Josh claims that he works there why didn't he give the heads up about this?
Things that makes you go Hmmmmm!

I can confirm that No member was allowed in with the NMB and the company only The Two TOP IAM officials, IMO AH is a complete jackass, he came from the ramp many moon's ago and the powder in his nose is probably still there. All the company offered was 1%, time to work a couple of weekends and save the money for a strike
so delaney is up to his old tricks? Nc not being allowed in negotiations?
1% over yhe last two years is not even a quarter. How does anyone know what was negotiated if delaney was only one in room?

welcome to the boards wikileaks   so is that for sure a fact that Rich D and 2 other Top IAM officials were only ones allowed in the room with the donkeys and the nmb?

How ironic. I recall the DL 141 Rising candidates bashing Canale for the exact same thing 6 years ago.

You do have a point there Cargo....

P.S. I think it was the "New Direction" candidates at that time...

on www.justplanenews.com  theres an article about the talks  which sound like it has concluded and that the NMB still has not ruled on the IAM's request to be released   Also Rich Delaney made clear to the NMB that now is the time to be released from these FRUITLESS TALKS so that the IAM can be free to strike..   So Tim it sounds like RD is not going to accept a similar deal that UA got given his demands to the NMB to be released

delaney was given a chance by the membership and he exploited and blew it.
Thats why i could no longer support him and his team. What his eboard did to united was tragic.

he been begging the nmb for 10 months now as well he should but the reality is that he is stalling since he has refused to move some things forward that he himself has control over.

At united he hoodwinked the members by telling them he had a first of its kind loa where the iam pledged to go into joint talks after many years of unproductive section 6 talks in return for accelerated negotiation commitment from management. Im quite sure thats what may happen at usairways if his team wins elections. No reason to think otherwise.

When you separate talk from what have they done, its crystal clear. Look, id love to be able to cheer and rah rah but u do understand these are the same suspects who just robbed united?

well Tim I do understand but at the same time remember  it was them who did vote on that   I do  think it should have been handled a lot better and it could have  but in the end  the members at UA did vote it in.   Now if something like that came to US  I believe it would be either DOA or Shot down in a huge way.

Enough is Enough   Lock N  Loaded   F..K to AH DP and the rest of those filthy dirty low ballin Jackasses

When, if ever, will the NMB release the parties? -- The NMB will not release the parties. Most likely, they will force an agreement and have the parties send that out for a vote by the Members. They will not allow an airline the size of AA to go out on strike and cripple a fragile economy in a mid-term election year. NOT happening.

What is the IAM's plan B going forward if the NMB continues their inaction? --Negotiate. If no deal, then the Members will vote on a Last Offer submitted by the airline.

I stand corrected ROA. It was the "New Direction" candidates 6 years ago. Duly noted.

Your opinion and speculation is duly noted. Correct speculation and opinions will come to pass as things progress. Correct me if I'm wrong but the members voting on a final offer only happens at the end of a cooling off period following a release and prior to an authorized strike. Correct?

Tim Nelson said:
Also why are our iam leaders walking out of talks?

Your leaders wouldn't walk out on talks with the NMB because that would be a violation of negotiating in "good faith."

In order to maintain that, both sides needs to comply with "being willing to meet at reasonable times and intervals and sending representatives that have the power to make real decisions."

Walking out is not a viable option and will not put you in a good standing with the NMB.
