Month after month,  contract after contract negotiations  of other airlines only make our case stronger.  The longer we hold out the better for all of us.    AH must be wincing at that Alaska deal !
I couldnt agree more. Even the $23.00 that amr will b getting in 6 months is way too low.

Tim most all stations in the Midwest and east coast are contracted, currently to DL but that is changing in a few months they will have another vendor.

Alaska only has ramp in the state of Alaska, the entire lower 48 and Hawaii are outsourced. I've read a few of their CBA's from prior years, very interesting language and such for the folks working up in places like Barrow and Nome....etc.

Completely true-but I was speaking of passenger service. Ramp at Alaska HUBS is even outsourced!

I'm not from ORD and once my kids all graduated, I was OUTTA here. CLT is one of two stations I may get [both south of the mason Dixon  line where it is a helluva lot warmer] but my guess is that CLT comes open first.
Can't say I blame ya. Living in an icebox gets old...

AS has been cagey about specifics, but they've mentioned that a few places will now have their own people in them...

Well if they want a "seamless" merger we need scope enhancement protections wage north of AA and retro so in time we shall see what kind of offer is presented to fsa at pmus

"Seamless" is doable; all it takes is a palatable CBA for you guys. If DP wants it bad enough, he'll make sure AH knows what to do. OTOH, the NC needs to know just what sort of leverage they actually have, and how to wield it.

True. It's kind of a fun read (for those that are into that sorta thing)...

Not for nothing, the TDY's to SCC used to go super senior. Not sure if that's still true?

Ograc,

I know I and others including CB and MM have offered our services and that is all I can say. We are a team and I for one will take a call from any employee from any city and try to help. As for issues that you have had in the past, it's disappointing to hear.

Fair enough P. Rez.. You are correct CB, MM, MF and yourself have offered support. Although I appreciate the support in moving this grievance to a final resolution I remain disappointed the ones charged with representing this grievance have done nothing. The chain (team) is only as strong as it's weakest link. Although there are some on the US and UA side of the District team that bust their arse for the membership; as it should be; there are some on both sides who seem to be doing nothing more than collecting a paycheck. I'm involved enough to tell the difference. At least on the US side. The amount of "leg work and prodding" I have done to move this grievance forward, as a GCC, is inexusable. I thank you and the forementioned though, for your involvement in a case that isn't even your assigned station.

Does Sito think this too is a monumental agreement? Let's reserve judgement until we see the full T/A and not just a highlight sheet.

And why do you care mr non airline employee non union member?

Oh wait, this is why:
