Maybe normal to you- but I get detailed updates from my union and from observers of our negotiations. We know what's being offered by the company, and what the union is asking for article by article. I've come to expect no less from the people being paid to represent me. If you're happy with being left in the dark except for the typical, 'we met and didn't agree to anything' updates, then that's your prerogative.
Hmmmm! wondering what purpose your comments re neg has on the us fleet board. I think you limit the ability of the committee to get what they are looking for your way. What union do you belong to? AMFA?

First... BOTH sides sign confidentiality agreements... prohibiting the discussion of what has been detailed to outside parties.

Second, even if they did provide detailed updates prior to reaching an agreement, the information would not be accurate and/or valid. In essence, they would be nothing more than rumors without validation. Tentative Contractual language is not set in stone until BOTH parties agree, and sign the WHOLE CBA!

of note the run in lines on wide body gates here on D con have been remarked to include 777's

Just heard that there will be an informational meeting here in PHX on July 9th from 9am to 5pm in the BA conference room.  on the New TA, and Questions will be answered...

maybe then we will have the language... the Guy i talked to didnt know when thats going to be..

maybe some of the other stations have heard more?

The district is setting up a Grievance Chairpersons' meeting first followed by station visits by Negotiation Team members for Q&A. Dates and details will be coming. It is my understanding; members will have the opportunity to review any and all articles in the current CBA that have been changed and given an opportunity to ask questions and get further clarification at their respective station visit. The process moves forward. let's be patient.

and my question still is when are they going to release the info to the members? we are all adults we can read for ourselves then if we need "clarification" then we will ask i lost patience this morning when i woke up and its been a week and still no language..

the language will be released once all of the legal folks from the union and from outside the union are done proof reading it    they do not want mistakes

so how exactly did they negotiate the contract if they didnt know what the difference between what they were negotiating and what they got? i mean 3 years and they havent been keeping up?  come on...

I bought that line last week its time to get the language..

PHXConx,
All in good time. The members will see the details soon enough. Let's be patient and get this right. We have waited over two years for a TA. A week or so wait... to get the details out to the membership, is acceptable. Everyone is anxious to review the TA in it's entirety. In the meantime... let's be patient.

They always inform the Grievance chairs first so they can help explain then the members will get the full language, before a vote.

sweet we will get about 15 minutes to look at it...

patience would be easier if we would get updates... EXAMPLE hey lawyers say they estimate will take a week to ten days, after which we will let your grievance chairs go through it first and then you guys..."diligently" obviously means different things to different people

Ironic. You blast me in an earlier post saying that I want to hear stories from my union because I want them to be accountable to the members, yet you're wanting for your union to tell you what's going on. What's the matter? Don't get your panties in a bunch- I heard they'll have it out when they're ready.
