And because they were under no legal obligation to make it.. What makes you think they are under a legal obligation to keep their promise?
It wasn't a "promise," it was a written agreement.

Yes cause because at this point in our lives we chucked bags. Does not mean we always did. But hey..not all of us are stupid rampers our entire lives.. Thanks for showing how much you think of your fellow workers.

I've worked with retired doctors lawyers one ex NFL player. Various college graduates there is a guy in the bag room with 3 doctorates written 3 peer reviewed studies and a book.. But because we chuck bags we are all characters in "the ringer" ding fries are done bitches!

We know that NC members come here.. And voicing our opinion here gets heard more than calling P REZ. who has suddenly become silent.. so our getting on the "Internet and stomping our feet" has a purpose. If you actually believed your diatribe. Then you shouldn't even be here. If our posts serve no purpose what's the point of you denigrating the effort we put forth?

I think Timmy was right and after the election all of a sudden the 16 lawyer monkeys they have in a room will suddenly spring forth with language.. It will be a miracle..

Thanks for coming out.

Also I'm not saying lawyers shouldn't look at it.. Or take their time. I do want this done right but keeping us informed isn't asking too much.

the lawyers can't change the language already negotiated. They can't change a thing without taking it back to the company for renegotiation.

All they are doing is compiling a list of differences.

So saying or implying baggage handlers aren't qualified is not only demeaning but an oversimplification. I mean if it's so difficult why was the NC compiled of baggage handlers in the first place. Why are we having information meetings with the negotiations committee and not lawyers. Did they learn by osmosis just sitting next to the lawyers.?

I think the most time consuming will be printing this out. But I can do that at home. Post it online let the membership get acquainted with the language if the vote is as rumored going to be the 18th We have 3 weeks and 3 days to fully understand it. If there are surprises the nc is not giving itself time to smooth them over..

You seem upset, friend.  Did they put you at T-point today?  If so you may get a chance to speak with the bag room's resident super-genius; he speaks 17 languages and has worked with or has contacts at NASA, the Air Force, and the NFL.  I'm sure you know him, he used to be a permanent fixture in UDO until admin took it over.  He has the most fascinating stories and theories.

I am glad that you and others are here harping on the NC to get the language out.  I'm sure they'd be otherwise oblivious to the fact that there are folks out there wanting to read it.

Wish you could be as supportive of your fellow workers as you are an asskisser for the NC.

I didn't know the NC needed a resident apologist how much does that position pay? Or do you just get off with the scent you receive while brown nosing?

I'm not angry I'm saddened that there are people like you that think so lowly of fellow compatriots you never bothered to learn their story. And so quick to talk bad about them for what? Brown nosing points with ppl you say are too busy?

You may be content going through life having others tell you what is good for you ie the nc and the contract. But many of us think for ourselves. And would like a chance to see the contract before we vote on it..

And instead of debating my post. You attack it. Try to imply I'm a liar. Simply because you have such low expectations of your fellow workers.. You can't believe that some (if not all) had fuller lives than you. Maybe it's blind jealousy. Maybe you really don't know your fellow workers... Whatever it is. It's sad.

yeah, no joke.  And it involved getting rid of your profit sharing.  My point isn't that it was good or bad but don't you think it would have been nice to have members actually vote on the damn agreement instead of having the union bosses make the decision?   At US AIRWAYS,  we had something called a lead referendum to allow some flexibilities in class 2 stations.  Even that had to be voted upon systemwide.  The IAM isn't perfect but at least its members get to vote on changes.  Even officer elections are voted upon in this district by plurality and not some convention delegation team.   I'm not sure exactly what the constitution is of the association or if it even has one other than the 12 page document it tossed up there on the official site, but from what I understand, folks will be voting on any changes, and you should find that to be a welcome thing.

It's an absolute tragedy.  You might not know a lot about contract law but you have an impeccable sense for melodrama and an uncannily keen psychological insight.  I'm glad you're on our side bro, even if you quickly resort to name-calling to get your points across.

I'm willing to give them some more time to make sure all of the details are properly attended to but like you my patience isn't infinite.  I will likely join the clamoring masses if we still haven't seen or heard anything by, say, the end of business this Friday.

Hey. Shhhhh.
I'm bAAck.

Been away taking care of business, had a committee meeting in PHL. What a dump of an airport, crime ridden and rundown city altogether. Didn't encounter Dave L but did ask the agents and couldn't tell if it was contract or US IAM personnel handling my mainline AA 738 from MIA. The PHL airport is in serious need of an overhaul up to AA standards because it's pretty deficient as it stands now.

Joshie was last seen at the District Elections in CLT. Apparently, he was dejected, and very depressed due to the incredible turn-out, and landslide defeat of Nelson, and the whole UFC team. Further... he was upset that they would not let him cast a ballot for Tim, or honor his J.P. Morgan ID.

Someone alleged that they saw him get into a 1973, decommissioned 440ci Dodge Cop Car with BLUTO, after hours of drowning his sorrows in cheap VFW draught. The car was last seen doing burn-outs on Wilkinson Blvd, with Charlotte’s finest in hot pursuit...

No reports since...
Wasn't in CLT never ended up meeting BLUTO and didn't partake in the district elections.

I flew American Airlines, not USAIR.  I only fly USAIR Shuttle to DCA, it is convenient for me.

Well guess what genius?

The New AA is US, most of the top executives are PMUS, not AA.

CEO, President, COO, CFO, HR, LR, all US executives.

Go fly DL since you hate US so much.

last time I checked, my paystubs and the name on the fuselage (except for few planes) says USAIRWAYS (for now) not USAIR
