I would also add, Harry, that if a person sees a cart sitting there with the tongue up then give it a push. If it doesn't budge then the brakes are good. Carry on. If it rolls, the brakes are bad. All that is needed is for a strong wind to come along and roll that cart into an aircraft. There are many carts where I work that have faulty brakes. We have been remiss in not taking these dangerous carts out of service. We are NOT doing a disservice to the company by taking this equipment out of service. We are preventing inadvertent aircraft damage. It's fine if a fleet service employee is injured. We are a dime-a-dozen. We must protect the aircraft all all costs.
