Well I went to the polls and voted the other day @ EWR for the insurgents. Not the incumbents. I have only one vote and have used it in the best way I felt possible. IMHO, change WILL happen.

How can anyone vote for this present leadership is a joke right now.
I don't pay attention to Nelson at all. Nelson doesn't work for UA. But I do. I'm just a member who is presently living this "monumental" UA deal. There is some dissension here with this contract. Hell, ask the CLE people what's happening to them. So the company just opened up PHX. 17 spots. Everyone else on the ramp has to go to SFO. (If they took the system option.) This company isn't gonna spend over a million dollars to move people. A few people had to move on their own dime. Plus the company is dragging ass on LOA#6. If it was implemented, there would be more openings and places for people to go. And now what about the second 15 stations? Where they are going to go? SFO; ORD; IAH are the logical choices since they are junior.

Bottom line, Ograc is correct that a lot of people are dissatisfied. Many took the money and did not understand the consequences in this deal. I'm still trying to figure out what's so great. My hub took two very hard hits, and for many, it seems like is anything good will come of this deal.

I'm still waiting for my answer on why LOA #5 was put in this contract...........

Please don't fall for the BS.

Just my two cents.......
The blood letting and job loss has only just begun with the UA negotiated agreement. This contract came to pass with the endorsement of the NC, the District and the IAM International VP of Transportation. Additionally though, it was ratified by a membership who saw money and disregarded other Articles in the contract and the adverse impact it would have on countless members' livelihoods. In the meantime we continued to be played. The International, the District, the NCs and the membership. Of course my opinion is based on a member's point of view. Maybe these type of agreements benefit both parties. The company and the union. If this is the case; from a member's standpoint, we are being played by both the company and our elected union representatives. If this is the case... It is now a battle on two fronts.

in all reality   it will be truly something to see come april 30 and may 1  with regards to the company proposal  and itll be equally interesting to see what  if any improvements they did to it
Robbed,
Don't get your hopes up Bro. The company is in a stall pattern regarding negotiations. You and I have witnessed this first hand in the grievance procedure.

Most sAA employees paid a  % over their work years to help bridge a retirement from 50-65 if they had 15 years of service from what I understand. Yesterday, the retirees seemed to have won to keep these benefits with a ruling against management's position to strip them.  Not sure what this means to active employees who would still want to use this process, but if it is still a viable one, I can see several sAA ORD employees taking advantage of it.

Orgac  trust me bro  I do not have much hope with whatever the company proposes or their proposals   they just want us to have a 3rd class substandard thing compared to AA DL UA WN etc   Yes you are correct and we are still going thru that with the grievance thing   in just lit over 3 months and itll be 5 yrs since I filed my grievance  and to date no arb hearing scheduled   simply incredible  just incredible     but I guess that what our dues are for now a days

I'm backing all of the incumbent officers at District 141. They have shown true leadership and insight in leading our union. It is no secret that the inexperience of punky and the rest of the challengers will be a disaster for us and our families. I told nelson I would not let him go unchallenged again. He claims to have a master level education in contemporary cultures. He has failed to produce his thesis and degree. Why is that? He uses smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that he is unqualified to hold any office in any union. When challenged nelson writes Yaaaaaawn. Is this a type of person we want in office.
Hey arse face, get your quotes straight, I was the one who posted the YAAAAAWN. I was bored with all the bull the was being printed here. You have the right to back the incumbents but I'm not satisfied with the service I am getting for sixty bucks a month so it's time to give them a wake up call. The last thing an agc wants is to go back working under our contract and take a sixty grand pay cut. If they had to work under our contract they would work harder to make it better, just like the new pass riding policy of first come, first board, but then again they ride positive space.

Tim what would you do different with stalled talks and inaction from the current leadership?

Once again you are uneducated on the process.

Call Gerry and tell him to finally give you the right information.

The NMB controls the talks, not the IAM not US.

Inaction?

Lets see there has been several rounds of informational picketing, yep the leadership is doing nothing.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

This is a message board, not Josh and Tim's Place.

You posted a bait question and others will call you out and did.

Now switch names.

Switch names? To what?

How is it a bait question, I directed it to Tim, if he wants to answer it he will.
