Another East "Ace" strikes again!  Let's dust off another pedestal!

A nose gear collapse on a cargo-category plane "that was about to take off". What immediately suggestable pilot "error" can you possibly be going for here? APA people, take note there.

Words just fail me with "you'se" sorry sort kid, and not in a good way. We're all still eagerly awaiting your personal fantasies of how you might, on your very best day ever in even "you'se" wildest imaginings, or within your innermost and hugely "heroic spartan soldier" fantasies, have better commanded FLT 1549....? Let's hear it, step by step....? No? Still nothing punk? 😉

On a much lesser and purely recreational level: My wager's always open. Come on out from behind "you'se" keyboard and dazzle us all with what a mighty "army" of losers, smarmy little "ace" can actually do, versus talk. PM if interested. Hawkhunter has your pathetic sort pegged, and I completely agree: "They do not have the balls to do anything other than make threats on a keyboard or deny jumpseats." 😉

Nothing could EVER possibly go wrong with an airbus's nose gear...right? Of course those were mere mortals of Jet Blue, and not mighty westie "spartans".

Glad it sounds like everybody is alright. I've heard of nose gear collapsing on landing, but not many on takeoff. Well..... a twin Cessna at Diamond point, but that runway was worse than a freshly plowed field coated in concrete.

A west pilot that has not ever heard of something happening before, how quintessential!

I give you less than 6 months of joint Ops before you face resignation in lieu of termination.

A process I am sure most West pilots are familiar with.

I'm thinking 6 months is an overly generous estimate, and must go with "less".

It will all soon take a back seat to the new JCBA process.  I sure it will resurface in some form as the MB arbitration progresses, but we all know we can do nothing about it this time as a contract will not be required. I'm getting too old for this stuff.  A 60 hour option with a mid-day nap stenciled in would be nice!

Agreed in full sir, especially with the 60 hour option and mid-day nap. 😉

Hey, I don't think we have the market covered on derrière heads over here.

Perhaps not fully covered and cornered, but...etc... 😉

Now when I say, "I've heard of.........but not many on takeoff," and then go on to describe one I'd heard of. How do you come up with, "not ever heard of something before,"??? Just wonderin'. Does that make your post quintessential? 🙂

You boys aren't going to trot out the one about "both engines simultaneously failing catastrophically again... Are you?

Ahhhh, I hadn't read about the crash yet. I thought he was referring to LUV preaching on a pedestal, not talking about the nose gear failure.

Cue Claxon: talks about how quintessential it is that something went over a west pilots head, let alone Bean (aka gas relief).

If I remember right the same thing happened to one of our check airman, nose wheel swung 90 degrees, happened prior to the merger. Really nice guy and good pilot, he didn't have much good to say about the Airbus after that.

While you are writing your letter to Doug and making arrangements to show up at crew news to explain it all to him, I for one will wait to see what the accident investigation finds and reports...

But for comedy I'll keep checking in to see what "Liberty Necktie" Newscasters comes up with (after all they were creative enough to sell $15 ties for $675!)

I never had any notion that you were jumping onto that same, assinine bandwagon Bean, for what 2 cents that's worth from one evil old eastie. 😉

It must be observed though, that having some pathetic jackazz like appropriately self-tagged "fifi", immediately coloring an entirely unknown scenario as presumed pilot error, does something less than sound loud trumpets heralding the west group's magnificence, intelligence, or even basic sanity.
