The FAA has never been bashful about taking action against any pilots they think might have made an error and I don't remember any action being taken against Sully of Jeff. If you're so sure that you have information that they made a mistake I think you should take your case public. I read the NTSB report and could find nothing in that to indicate any sort of screw up. The airplane ended up in the river and nobody got killed and that alone is pretty much precedence setting. I appears that you would like it if the pilots in the PHL incident had made a mistake and the nicest way I can say this to you is that to even think that way before any sort of investigation is done is very short sighted and is no credit to you.

I agree 100% Bob. It seems a couple of west pilots on here are hoping and praying it's found out that the pilots made a mistake because they are from the east. It's pathetic that such individuals consider themselves professional pilots. That's quite sad really...
Until we get the official report from the NTSB, everything is just speculation.

NAC Update - First Year Captains
The NAC has been involved in a number of meetings with Management over the past couple of weeks. These meetings have dealt with implementation issues, as well as training and grievance settlement topics. We will be providing you a detailed update next week on the status of these meetings, however the following issue is time sensitive, so we will address it in this update.
Recent East Permanent Bid closings have resulted in Captain positions being awarded to pilots just as they finish their first year of service.
