Yes, it could take that long, I don't know. This merger though is proceeding at a very rapid pace. I read an article recently that discussed how far along they are in combining systems. It's coming together quicker than prior mergers. Hopefully the merger will continue quickly and smoothly. I'm afraid those that hope that it doesn't are far more concerned with their personal agendas than the well being of the combined airline, which in my opinion has the potential to be not just the biggest, but the best.

It's unfortunate that this is an unusually contentious mess regarding even basic issues of group(s) representation, etc. What any of that means to the timeline is anyone's guess at present. Whatever proves out as the case; I'm fairly optimistic (a word only carefully used for this insane industry) that all of you folks with many years yet to go will see at least a decent future with the outfit. I strongly suspect that ten years from now many people will be looking back at the seven+ spent with infighting, and wonder at the inherent insanity of "those times", save for the involved lawyers, that is.

Well...maybe if there will be free "integrity matters" T-shirts and "Liberty" ties given away. A man's just gotta' maintain some social standards, after all. 🙂

Now that seems a trifle disrespectful sir, given that it's long been very vocally held by the west faction that at least "the rest of the industry", indeed "the rest of the world", fully knows and appreciates their inestimable "worth" and the true "righteousness" of their valiant cause. 😉

Personally; I see no wasted years whatsoever, nor do I see any of "you'se" punks taking away even whole decades of worked years from those junior to myself and many like-minded others, and per: "The west simply wouldn't allow you to fcuk us."..? From a viewpoint of purely clinical curiosity though; how is it at all, much less "Very inaccurate," my having posted the first above, which you then replied to by once again calling as supposed witness "the rest of the world"?
