The thing that you never seem to grasp is that the "fairness" of the Nic or the "fairness" of DOH is not and should not be in question.  Both sides had merger committees representing their interests, spent millions of dollars and agreed to abide by whatever the arbitrator (whom we paid dearly) decided.  The behavior of the east subsequent to the arbitration is reprehensible and everyone knows it (especially the east pilots who are reasonable people).  Your actions may someday be forgiven but will never be forgotten.
 
In addition you should open your eyes.  The company an the APA are moving quickly to eliminate usapa.  The meeting with company executives on Wednesday should prove interesting.  This isn't over yet an the Nic is certainly not dead.

A suggestion Ames = Grow Up, or at least find yourself again. You once flew F4's as part of a Squadron, and thus, unless nothing whatsoever of a man (which I don't believe is the case) and thus you necessarilly understood Duty to issues above and beyond yourself. What changed, and how did that happen to you? That any thinking Pilot or person can make such a statement as: "The thing that you never seem to grasp is that the "fairness" of the Nic or the "fairness" of DOH is not and should not be in question." utterly baffles me. How could such even possibly NOT be in question?

Yes, if APA and American Airlines try to remove USAPA participation like they did TWA, the sole reason for the "McCaskill-Bond Amendment", you think it is like a bear shitting in the forest,  no one would know.  Ain't going to happen that way junior.
 
Anyone know the status of the west damages trial.  You know, the damages west leaders have promised the west pilots for years.  Your thoughts please west sirs?

The fairness of the Nic is irrelevant. What can and will be done with it is the question.
 
We were in a quagmire. USAPA failed in getting a DOH east/west list. We were looking at a situation where the US pilots would be on the outside looking in. The legally elected CBA decided to do something different. We all voted for it. You guys sued, saying that the agreement you voted for was a violation or you DFR. A federal judge agreed with you that the MOU abandoned the Nic, but disagreed that it was a failure of the CBA's DFR.
 
Move on.
