"or otherwise just "minus votes" indicative of only the finest of "minds"....Oh well. A continuing study of Arrested Development, it seems." Just a moment's idle curiosity here, but is it truly the case than none of "you'se" pathetic "spartan" morons can actually THINK and properly express yourselves through even any semblance of reasoned argument, rather than just minus votes and "cute" pics? Apparently not, it would sadly seem. Be gently advised that the wholesale lack of any actual education removes no responsibility for not having an actual "mind".

I'm almost starting to believe these past eight years here have been more an unintended study in primative anthropology, rather than one of merely Arrested Development here....Just kidding about the first part, but still...?  "You'se" must honestly admit that the emphatically simian gesturing and mindlessly gutteral utterances might give even the most casual observer some proper pause....

Welcome to 'em APA. They're all yours now...and properly sincere apologies. We had no intention of ever inflicting even ourselves, or much less such fine "people" as above demonstrated on video on American. What can sadly be promised, from observation, from the little PHX minority is that they'll predictably, always vote for whatever the company wants. Many have previously and eagerly stated their ready desire to scab if it benefits them on just these boards alone.  Their previously mentioned umm..."leadership" eagerly asking the CEO whether they "should I turn them in" situation/video actually took place and is on record. I naturally mean no aspersions towards the mighty "spartans"...but seriously; Good Luck and have "fun" with such almost unbelievably childish fools...and never turn your back on them without someone watching it for you.. They've proven themselves far more than just ready and able, but even incredibly eager to "turn in"/back-stab/etc any "fellow pilots" that won't acquiesce to their incredibly narcisisstic needs at any given moment...which, one can only assume, would include not only artificially enhanced "seniority" but  probably even a nice glass of warm milk and cookies too.
Ha! Scabs like you earned every bit of their "respect". You had all the advantages and you still failed. They're still here, organized as ever.

NONE were on furlough. NONE were at a twice bankrupt soon to be dead airline. Nope, they worked for the healthy, acquiring company. None of this was lost on Nicolau, and none of it will be lost on his protoges, you'll be meeting with in June. The West will walk everyone through the USAPA years in crystal clear detail. Nothing USCABA co an do about that despite every conceivable effort to stop this from happening.
Integrity Matters.........

Q: Why not let US Airways just tank and go belly up? That way there is no bothering with seniority integration or bickering about the way that their employees are being paid more to do the same jobs than we are.

A: The proposed merger is about making our company stronger and bringing in the kinds of assets - gates, slots, and aircraft that allow us to grow our network instantly. Yes, a merger comes with tremendous challenges, including the task of integrating seniority lists. But, we believe that this merger is in the best interests of employees, shareholders and travelers. Without the merger, America West will continue as it has; however, we have to consider the long-term viability of our company and, with fuel prices high and industry capacity in excess, we (like most of our industry) could also face bankruptcy if those fundamentals don’t change.

Doug Parker, Chairman and CEO, who said repeatedly to pilots from both groups that both carriers needed the
merger and benefited from it. As CEO Parker told a three-year AW pilot complaining about
AWs post-merger stagnation in a videotaped Crew News meeting in PHX on 2/06/07,

First off, as to the the stagnation of growth, for America West pilots since the
merger what I will tell you is, and this is a hard thing to communicate to people but I believe
it with all my heart: If we didnt do the merger with US Airways, youd be in a lot worse
position. Frankly, I think as a 3 [year] F/O, you wouldnt have a job.

We would have gone through a bankruptcy filing. We would have downsized. We
had an airline at America West that had 20% lower unit revenues than US Airways and now
has the same unit costs. That airline could not survive. We would have tried to make it better.
Wed go file bankruptcy and get ourselves a little stronger and now the economys back and
wed be trying to come out like Delta is.

But I swear to you that [the] airline was going to file bankruptcy. When it filed
bankruptcy, we would have downsized at least 15%, and, you know, while you feel bad about
stagnation, you should feel better about that versus where you were headed. And thats where
we were headed.

The truth."............

More Claxfud.

The reason you hate the 2004 and 2005 HP new hires is usfurloughways had none. You brought nothing to the acquisition except 1800 furloughs and a bankrupt airline which Parker acquired then he stuck a pacifier in your mouths with those 2007 Crew News sessions. Two years into the acquisition and after the installation of East managers it's of no surprise that the East recalled and the West furloughed.

Fast forward to today. History will repeat itself. AA is now the pretty girl. Your East managers are out and Dug moved on. It's your turn to be dumped and I am enjoying every bit of it.

I'm glad peons like you love the videos made when your merry band of Usapian snake oil salesmen came to town. You don't come to our back yard and say we are here to screw you without getting a taste of your own medicine.

I really like this video because at 4:41 into the video were a predictor of the "unity" to follow if you went on with your Usapian scheme. You made your bed, you now get to wallow in the disgusting Usapian label you earned.

My my, we are so dramatic this morning, you earned your place as the dumbest pilot group in the industry by not taking the NIC when we offered it to you not to mention all the money you wasted on silly ties. No more donations coming in, how wil you pay Marty.

You guys really screwed up big time, you are the laughing stock of the industry

Another long hot summer in the desert, and many more to come but hey at least you have stagnation.

Laughing stock of the industry? The laughing stock of unionism is across the street from Bojangles on Woodlawn in Charlotte. I hear you are a regular at both.

AA will surely put you little scabs in your place when you sit at the kiddies table, looking so forward to hearing what you bring to this merge, how will you even go in with a straight face, you should be embarrassed.

When I get together with my AA buddies we go over a lot of you videos and threats, they really get a kick out out of you guys, they agree you should have been pieced off to Mesa or Rebuplic, your lottery ticket was when we acquired you, I would be thankful if I was you.

I'm sure there will be plenty of laughs when your Pickleball Committe shows up. Bring Jess, he's always good with providing the panel comedic relief.

Your distortion and outright lies get old.
For the umpteenth time, it was a reverse acquisition.

US Airways filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Reorganization, and they filed for bankruptcy once again on September 14th, 2004. Yet on May 19th, 2005, US Airways was able to exit Chapter 11 through a merger with America West. The reverse takeover structure of the America West/US Airways merger was different than past mergers.

Simply, America West purchased US Airways, but the US Airways brand remained dominant while Doug Parker became the CEO of the combined airline. However like the American/TWA merger, the transition was very rocky, and the full integration has yet to be completed. For example, US Airways has two pilot contracts, one for pilots employed by US Airways prior to the merger and one for America West Pilots.

American and US Airways will receive their Single Operating Certificate from the FAA Wednesday morning, and the “Cactus” call sign will fly into the history books.
An American Airlines spokesperson says the last scheduled US Airways flight to use the “Cactus” call sign will be “Cactus 774″ which is scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia from London Heathrow about 11:30 AM ET, Wednesday, April 8.
A Single Operating Certificate–also known as a SOC–is a document issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that the regulatory process of combining the two subsidiary air carrier certificates under one certificate has been completed. In this particular case, this means that the American and US Airways certificates will officially be combined in the eyes of the FAA, but the merger process is still a bit far from being completed.
It’s taken a little over a year and a team of more than 700 to help train more than 110,000 employees, vet and publish more than 115,000 pages on policies and procedures, complete more than 1,700 Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs), and review 465 manuals. And guess what? Everything was completed on schedule, and the airline is not behind at all.
Now, US Airways pilots will begin communicating with air traffic control with “American” as the call sign. The “Cactus” call sign became US Airways’ when it was acquired by America West when the two received their SOC in October 2008. Also, US Airways safety cards will be going away and be replaced with new American ones before morning.

American and US Airways customers will still continue to shop for flights, check flight status, and obtain seat assignments on each carrier’s respective website until the company migrates to a single passenger service system which is expected to occur during the fourth quarter of this year.
