The KDA slogan (kick Delta's a$$) was a typo.. It is spelled KMA.
That's why I support the Company and not the un"I"on anymore. The APA and the West screwed us and I simply want to be here for them as "the gift that keeps on giving". That extra $2000 plus I won't have to pay them next year will look fine in MY checking account.

I'm on a trip right now willing to help the Company as much as I can. Flew to CLE on a 36 hour overnight with a deadhead today. Eric Ferguson (with his deadbeat tie) along with the "Captain" that has an old AWA crest on his hat (trying to impress how independent he is) trying to prove how important they are with all this "contract interpretation" nonsense they blather about. Thank god it was a short van ride. Didn't waste my time with them....Eric even knew me by name but he can stuff it. I have no respect for the APA/West and I'm in this for me and the 10 years I have left.

I hope the third listers get to keep their money as well. It's better spent on their kids college education than the APA/West group of unifiers.

Your intransigence at Wye River is equally responsible for the Tempe Brain Trust enjoying record low pilot wages for 8 years.  Keep in mind (although I am certain you idiots have long ago lost your minds) that those years on LOA93 wages were the worst the east had seen ever.  During that same time, you were stuck on the best the west had seen ever (which were only marginally better than LOA93, and worse  than the East widebody rates) and had it not been for USAirways coming along and making the merger with AA possible, you probably would still be on those wages, while we had spent decades earning FAR MORE than you dumbs**ts ever hoped to negotiate because you have no balls to get anything better.
 
You have ridden the east coattails into American Airlines.  Pray  your precious Tempe Brain Trust doesn't slaughter the golden goose before the stockholders come to their senses and send those clowns running.
 
As far as their business acumen;  A monkey could see how poor it is.  But you, of course, could not, since any monkey would leave you in the dust when it comes to almost any intellectual enterprise.
You are correct. I would note however that I will simply follow the one that pays me the money because the "principle" is LOST on the APA/West pilot group.

We now have a better picture what the East MEC had on the table: an 8 year fence, furloughs by longevity (LOS), MDA time not counting for longevity, Dave ODell having 400 pilots below him, and the Nic surviving as THE LIST. Yes, the East offered the NIC. They just wanted to protect their retirement attrition, which stalled by the change in Age-60. Looking back, that offer must look like a home run to any West pilot right now, but last February the EAST MEC and ALPA couldnt get to first base with it.

Our former MEC and our union leadership played a very high stakes game of poker by not dealing at Wye River. Freund was right, we were risking everything..and right now, it looks like we lost. They need to take responsibility for that.

Their "management prowess or business acumen" was fully demonstrated by throwing away nearly a third of a billion dollars, moronically "invested" in essentially junk bonds that predictably proved worthless: The ONLY thing currently at ALL sustaining those twits is essentially "free" oil/fuel....Period.

It was the east that rode the coattails of the West as TEMPE moved to Dallas, and you are still riding the West's coattails.  Whats the matter you incessant whining losers, don't you get cancel pay when a snowstorm hits?  The West is still the highest paid pilot group, have been for over a decade despite the east continual crying.

As far as the stockholders sending management packing, again you show your total lack of knowledge on the situation.  They are not gonna get sent packing, they are gonna get multi-million dollar bonuses.

PHOENIX FISHBOWL FLYER
DECEMBER 2014

Awhile back we published an update in which we referred to our Phoenix base as a fishbowl. Since then, a few pilots from other bases who find their current situation more satisfying than what we have faced over the last decade thought the reference was hysterical, and began calling our PHX updates Fishbowl Fliers. We are dismayed that our circumstances would give them so much pleasure. We wouldnt wish our circumstances on anyone else, or any other base, and we want nothing other than unbridled and shared prosperity for all pilots of New American. Well only point out to those small-minded folks who would gloat over our situation that Karma is one of the most ancient concepts known to man and theres likely a good reason it has survived.
