It was actually quite easy. I was hired by several major airlines that I turned down. What's truly sad is that your sorry sorts could ever be hired by even the pathetic likes of AWA, if clearly no one else.

How true, the last stop before McDonalds, Americas Worst Airline.

"According to our reports, on Day One of Wye River, Jeff Freund warned the West MEC that if USAPA won, the West risked losing everything. He urged reaching an agreement. He was gone on Day Two"

"Our former MEC and our union leadership played a very high stakes game of poker by not dealing at Wye River. Freund was right, we were risking everything…..and right now, it looks like we lost. They need to take responsibility for that."

EC having a breakdown today, call Project Wingman at 1-800-NIC-DEAD!

Oh hardly any breakdown, in all fairness. Just an inability to demonstrate a spine or evidence the "courage" of any supposed, personal convictions, which, from all the "tee-hee-aren't-I-cute" posting history; I'd imagine to be a condition long since well in place, with that sort of well established defense mechanism equally made obvious. In other words; merely another perfect candidate for  "heroic" enlistment in an imaginary "army" only existing in Fantasyland....Perhaps even a "knight" or even "dire wolf" for that matter.

This seems an appropriate time to again note that I do not see all of the PHX pilots in that light by any means....just the infantile "spartan" segment...which I doubt the decent, sane and actual pilots in PHX would hold against me. PHX has their vets too, and I've no doubt some could take up any flying wager, and from their own experiences, have nothing more to prove themselves anyway, and wouldn't bother to do so purely based on any west vs east nonsense....It's just their "children" out there I've some issues with. "Mommy and St Nic think I'm cute!...I should be magically advanced at least 17 years worth of worked experience over all lesser mortals!....Just ask my mommy!"/etc, ad nauseam. Whatever their individual notions on the nic; I simply can't imagine the west's "elders" all sharing that degree of infantile narcissism. I've met a number of them that very much seem to be both decent and respectable guys. What's most grossly unfair to the elders of "sparta" is that they've been trapped in PHX for nearly a decade, mostly because of their foolish little children there.

Another day passes with no answer from the west pilots about how they plan to place furloughed AA pilots on the bottom of their proposed seniority list.

How about an answer EC or CP1, your thoughts please!

"But with this evenings MEC Hotline written by Chairman John McIlvenna, the truth is now finally coming to light. And all we can say is: we told you so!]"

"As CEO Parker told a three-year AW pilot complaining about
AWs post-merger stagnation in a videotaped Crew News meeting in PHX on 2/06/07,

First off, as to the the stagnation of growth, for America West pilots since the
merger what I will tell you is, and this is a hard thing to communicate to people but I believe
it with all my heart: If we didnt do the merger with US Airways, youd be in a lot worse
position. Frankly, I think as a 3 [year] F/O, you wouldnt have a job."

You little junior pukes better stop your whining, you had your chance, you're lucky to be here.

Learn from your mistakes. Going to be another long hot summer in the desert, and a lot more to come.

Bottom Line = "You little junior pukes better stop your whining,......you're lucky to be here."

Per your unduly optimistic: "Learn from your mistakes."...? Good frikkin' luck with that concept. Some of these "I hate all of you'se", umm..."spartans" have long demonstrated themselves as nothing short of living miracles, in that they can even walk upright at all. What's most both troubling and utterly disgusting is that the once properly proud aviation community could ever so hopelessly degenerate as to be afflicted with such utterly pathetic creatures being allowed to even pretend themselves to be "pilots"....Case en pointe; the following, obviously illterate half-wit ranting away...."Pilot to pilot"...."I hate all of you'se!"...Umm..."Pilot to pilot"?...Seriously?...Who did he even imagine he was kidding? "Pilot to pilot" my arse....I honestly can't even imagine ever finding use for such an obviously hopeless "village idiot" as even a chock in any squadron/airline/whatever. Although I was naturally much "impressed" by the both the ever-so-erudite speech of such an obvious moron, coupled with the most truly impressive, double-fisted-simian gesturing....

P.S. Should that sorry fool ever wish to actually go/fly "pilot to pilot"; he'd prove perfect fodder for my wager. Perhps some prperly "heroic"...umm..."spartan" shoud offer him some encouragement there, especially since he's openly declared "hate" for "all of you'se" for the whole world to see.....? The very least I could decently respect that poor fool with's a chance to inflict his "hate" on an aged eastie aloft...and I could always use the laughs anyway. 😉 Heck, as cold-hearted as it seems, well, being that the poor "pilot"/kid' above is clearly retarded; I'd offer very favorable odds. Seriously; just what was the AWA "testing" for "intelligence" standard anyway?....The ability to actually walk through a door into an "interview"?...With knuckle-dragging while doing so not at all any disqualifier?

My mommy told me....

The entire west position in literally a "nut" shell.

"My mommy told me...." Umm..was that before or after she bought your only supposedly "pilot" licenses for you? 😉 I mean no undue offense, and I "could" be "wrong" here; so feel perfectly free to expand on your "heroic" background and just how you found yourself at AWA as a supposed "pilot"?.....No?....Nothing? Aw c'mon; don't be the least bit bashful, mighty "spartan". It's entirely unfair and even churlish of "you'se" to withhold tales of true "glory" that otherwise, might well serve to inspire much lesser human beings than "you'se" self?....? Think of the truly inspirational message you could presumably send to the Nation's youth?....? 🙂

Umm...If it would help at all; I've already got some possible headers/titles in mind: "How even a spineless little halfwit can become a supposed "pilot" in modern America"...and much more along the same lines.

P.S. Per your infantile BS about "You think you are some kind of hero don't you?" Not hardly, nor will I ever be able to indulge any "spartan"/"dire wolf" fantasies. Our nation's true heroes no longer have the joy of drawing breath. Those fallen I'll always honor and properly salute while the miracle of life continues.  Your disgusting sorts?....I wouldn't even wipe my shoes off on.

Your forgot son, 34 years here but hey you can lift my gear any time.

Interesting. Eight years ago I was told that by a narrow body captain from AWA while riding in the jumpseat even though I had a positive space on a later flight. I was a 767 captain at the time.  He had been hired three years after me, probably on a Dash 8. I had been polite and cordial in thanking the two while leaving the cockpit. He said, "Yeah, I will talk to you even though some day you will be pulling the gear for me."

The diminutive gentleman seemed to be suffering from severe short man complex as he spoke in a gravelly voice out of the side of his mouth with every sentence containing the f-bomb expletive.

I have been saving most of my money for a decade and a half, so I can depart the fix at any time. The arrogance of some of these men and women just make me want to stick around all the more. Besides, I love the 330 too much to leave.

I sometimes wonder how Napoleon is doing.

Well, at least you got onboard. Years ago now; the one and ONLY time I'll ever attempt jumpseating with a west crew of then unexpectedly, but now known to be potential children I was denied, while actually in the process of introducing myself and shaking the supposed "Captain's" hand, no less. Sound wisdom on the savings.  You've been to Paris sir, and doubtless visited Les Invalides, so you know how Nappy's doing. Ya' gotta' admit that's one helluva' tomb though.

"The arrogance of some of these men and women just make me want to stick around all the more." Plus 1 here. 😉

Then there was the AWA captain who asked me what equipment I flew and I answered, "The 767." He responded disparagingly, "Now, that is the little one, isn't it?" (I am sure that he knew that all of ours were -200s.) I said, "Yeah, that is the one that can fly [ten hours] to Athens."

I've jumpseated very little with west crews. It hasn't been worth having to put up with some of their comments and rudeness. Not all, of course. Some have been very nice. I had one captain tell me that he had to ask his first officer. Are you kidding me? I had never heard that from any captain. How can they ever expect SLI to work?

Other airlines have been very good to me. Thank you for that, captains and crews.

How SAD is that, that you have a better experience on another airline then your own.
