He is trying desperately to get the nic windfall that was gifted to him. He is a 57 year old junior copilot for a third tier airline that pilots went to when they couldn't get hired anywhere else. A scab laden collection of misfits and imbeciles that lie to the FBI, tell the CEO they want to turn in other pilots, and want to usurp a 17 year veteran pilot behind a new hire. They will get exactly what they brought to this merger; a stagnant low yield hub, pos wore out aircraft, and no potential for advancement in pay or position.
Now the new B of A might be swayed a little had the judges actually awarded them the nic or the billions in damages that were solicited. Additionally, they might be swayed by the powerhouse hub that PHX has become with massive growth, new route announcements, and even the massive influx of new aircraft deliveries there, and let's not forget the transfer of A330 and A350 flying going there. Yea, that's it.
I have yet to hear one of them explain how the arbitrators are going to explain the fairness in advancing the west against the positions of the 10000 legacy AA pilots. What they have is an arbitration award going on 9 years stale that required a CBA to institute. Scott Kirby deemed the award a lottery ticket that the west couldn't cash.
Oh and whatever happened to the threats from the west that the USAPA officers were going to be doing jail time and filing for bankruptcy. Drama queens much?
