Reading this past weeks posts I have to comment on two things.
1. The west performing some sort of a sick out.
The Phx base has been understaffed for years, with each year becoming more and more transparent.
Nothing has changed this summer, except the fact that we are even more severely understaffed. Each year grew into what it has become today.
I deduce that the company has plans with regard to what Phx may be in the future and they are willing to take numerous cancelations and service disruptions to negate the moving costs associated with a new seniority list.
No sense in properly staffing a hub that they feel will be right sized by the upcoming mass migration of future bid awards.
2. Nobody has leaked anything. Many rumors, but not one credible leak detected by anyone.
Those tasked with the trust that they won't leak, would never purgur themselves to do just that.
We will all know what the list is when we see it.
Address the specific issue of sick calls being far, far above the norm. Staffing is one issue, a noticeable spike in sick calls is a completely different one.

You have attempted ( poorly) to obfuscate the issue. There is a sick call issue with the PHX Fishbowl.
Perhaps a Federal Judge such as the Hon. Neil V. Wake will be called to issue an injunction.

It's not your seat until I LET YOU HAVE IT!

(Well, until the government forces me to give it to you.  Socialist!)
Please remain on the board until 20 days after SLI reveal. You have been involved very long, you should see it through to the conclusion.

Is it worth the extra 40 bucks per hour?
Absolutely. Premium takes it far above. 300 k plus is the norm.
And every one of the Fishbowl captives would have bid it the instant they could have.
Simmons, Ferguson, et al have honestly miscalculated and destroyed your careers.
Lets' hope they launch another lawsuit.

Yea, hang out a while longer, better you than that back stabbing weasel in SAN.

"Nothing has changed this summer, except the fact that we are even more severely understaffed. Each year grew into what it has become today."

Sad, almost pathetic logic in the current crown jewel of the New American network.

It was a sick out, nothing less. There is your West "leak."

And out East nobody by name has leaked. But the
secrecy of the list is doing about as well as a cheap air mattress in a hail storm. This is what happens when cartain parties involved cause unreasonable delays in denial of the inevitable.

Sssssssssssse

Congrats on the 330 seat.

Do you plan on staying there? Is it all it's cracked up to be?
Thanks. Yeah, it is. I love the 330. CPDLC! Satcom, CDTI, datalink, great wx radar, nice seats for the FB and FC, comfortable rest seat, bunks, great crews and destinations, and and espresso machines. What more could you want? I'll stay as long as seniority and the company will have me there.  But, then again, it isn't for everyone. Some crews just do not like the type of trips that the 330 does.

Thanks for the invite, but I will be gone from the board on my 65th birthday.

I will certainly keep in touch with my good friends that have a "dog in the fight" to find out how things went.

Oh, come on you can do it, besides what better entertainment can you find? Are you going to be busy repairing prechills countdown clocks or something?

It's nice flying, Bean, and the cities are great, but the time zones are a big issue.  Some people just handle it better than others.

I did it in the right seat for two years and was happy to leave.  I don't miss it.  Too much fatigue.

I flew with others who didn't have a big problem with it and never wanted to leave.  It's a real mix.

Agreed.  Hoping to hear busdriver's thoughts as we finally reach the conclusion.

I was Piedmont on the 76; when we merged with US Air that's what they said too and flocked to it. When PSA was bought they said that too but they flocked to the 330. When trump shuttle was bought , same thing again. The kicker is a lot of them even commuted cross country to do it. Tell your friends they are liars.

It does take a bit of getting used to.  But once you've established a routine, it is a fairly comfortable way to work.  Almost invariably the F/Os I fly with who could hold a 320 Captain seat are hesitant to bid it simply because of quality of life issues.  They take a look at the 320 trip pairing and say "No, thanks!"

One good friend eft the 330 F/O for 320 Captain and now can't wait until the training freeze is over so he can go back to the transatlantic flying.  But he can probably just go to the 350 quicker (if the "new equipment" clause is in the APA contract.)

Seems domestic flying is downright painful after a few years on transatlantic.
