2020 Pilot Thread

Seems Delta is considering MD88 and 90 parking due to Coronavirus Black Swan event. What is in store for AA?

Parker has cracked open that bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue. It’s panic city at the new Taj Mahal. But no matter what happens, Parker will praise our top management team for doing an absolutely wonderful job.

Congrats to the mechanics for getting a contact in the nick of time. It will be a long slog for the other groups.

Less than one year to go for me. Thank God. This place really sucks.

Thats if the association doesnt drsg it out to the point of no return.

The contract time lines are all on the unions now. Just like with the mechanics, since the company is committed to industry leading value, they only things to work out are the details. And Parker even said there is not big disagreement over what cost what, so it just what do the pilots want most. The entire problem with the mechanics was the could never agree themselves. Hopefully that should be much less an issue with the pilots. What is not going to happen is you are not getting industry best on every line by line item (in part that is what the IAM-TWU tried to promise).

Mr Parker likes to throw out a fixed cost number he chooses, then tells employee groups to pick what they want within that budget. The budget is entirely too low, and should not be accepted as legitimate guidelines that must be followed. The figures he and Glass provide are entirely too low.
Mr Parker spent far too much on stock at 43 a share. What are his constraints? He blew lots of money on overpriced stock.

It's time for Mr. Douglas Parker to step aside. His 43 dollar a share stock buybacks have depleted valuable cash needed now.
Reckless management style, embodied by Stephen Wolf, another pathetic CEO.
The remaining pensions will be taken in the next bankruptcy, which will be entered into with at least 15 billion of cash reserves.

The DFW headquarters will likely be sold to a new tech startup nobody has yet heard of by the year 2024. You heard it here first.

He is a big load based in MIA on the 777. Big as a house.
He never moved to Charlotte. He is a perpetual thorn in everyone's side in MIA.
Go on the APA Forum. He's a total tool bag.
Hope you don't have him in your jump seat like I did. He's a slob.

Kothny got his ass kicked by both a Phoenix f/a and Phoenix f/o back in the day. He is still remembered as a total fool in the desert. Not missed at all.

Miami Captain Lami has taken on Kothny on c&r. He has documented Kothny’s insane behavior since arriving in Miami. The co-pilots are 100% behind Lami,

It is a bit alarming AA has a CEO who publicly stated his airline would never lose money ever again. And additionally spent free cash on stock at prices significantly above today's value. Cash needed to weather a storm.
Now, there are serious challenges from something out of the blue. As was 9-11 out of the blue. It is always the " out of the blue" event that takes Airlines down.
You could absolutely be correct about GSW. If things go sideways, it might have to be sold and leased back, among other things, to keep the lights on.
