767-200ER's Winglets

Actually, if the company wanted to spend the money (LOL) ,they could upgrade the interior of the 767's to a "New Look" interior. There is a company called Heath Tecna that specializes in upgrading the interiors of 767's and 747's. Go to heathtecna.com and check it out .

Wow, what a cool site. If only US would consider a "true" upgrade for the 767 it make all the difference in the world. That a/c could stay in the fleet for many years to come while enhancing the customer experience. Oh wait, did I say "customer experience"? Nevermind. 🙄

I have non-reved many times to europe on 767's to vce.muc, ath, mxp and the trip much more comfortable in coach than a flight on a 330-300 from fra to philly. Is it me or is the seat pitch on the 330-300's tighter than the 767's?

The 767 line is still selling and if airways upgraded the interior as was talked about earlier it still could serve for many more years.I wonder if airways might pick up some used 767-300ers on the market as these have longer legs than the 767-200s.I was stuck in athens for 2 days because of weight restrictions several years ago and the 767 left with 40 empty seats and paying passengers were left behind.

Delta is investing in their large fleet of 767's by doing over the interiors. The 767 is a great plane but airways needs to spend some cash on their fleet of 10 aircraft. 😉

I don't think anyone is saying that the 767 didn't serve US well. Yes it's a great old bird who has taking the company through some really tough times but she is old, beaten up, tired and in extreme need of a makeover. The party string spray covered walls, the horrible coffin seats in Envoy and laminate coverings isn't enough of an improvement. The whole galley up front and certainly in back are terrible. Those plug in meal carts are really bad. Again, a great performing airplane that has served the company well but she is tired. Couple that with other carriers 767's flying today and you find the US fleet to be behind the competition. As for Doug getting more widebody a/c here....well that is a different topic in itself.
