A320 with PTV's?

Why these seats have not been replaced is beyond me. They are old, outdated, and DANGEROUS. Many of those screens are coming loose in their seatback fitting. They have jagged edges and can easily cut a passenger or crewmember if hit just right. I am sorry your brother had to endure flying practically transcon on that aircraft. Those are, by far, the worst and most outdated interiors in the entire fleet and should have been replaced a decade ago.

Did you write the seats up in the flight deck logbook? If not, why not? If the discrepancy has the potential to injure someone, its condition needs addressing post-haste, otherwise you subject the company to lawsuits, not to mention it is just plain bad business.

If the Captain refuses to enter it into the logbook, generally a quick note to the FAA gets action to the discrepancy as well as the Captain.

That is an east route. LAS/DCA/LAS

Not an East route or an East A/C......the east Airbus A/C only have/had Verizon Phones in the seatbacks. Which has been as far as I know deactivated at least on Domestic narrowbodies. The east Airbus are all consistent as far as interiors go....the only problem being they have a very worn fabric on the seats and the sidewalls and overheads are showing lots of dirt and grime seeing as they chose an almost white color for the interiors.

I think they use that excuse for improvements now don't they? They sure have time to upgrade the east aircraft with more seats no closets and oh yeah awesome ovens.....

I once stayed in a hotel with PTV's. The hotel manager said they were sorry and refunded my money. Took me three weeks to get rid of 'em.
