AA Flight Attendant blasts management at an awards ceremony.

She is not on suspension, she is on some sort of leave, medical I am assuming. Unfortunately, she is rough around the edges and that hurts her even more. She is correct in that AA uses intimidation on us. As for safety issues, I am not so sure about the hairline crack, but it may be true who knows? Intimidation tactics were used on me this winter to fly an airplane which was clearly unsafe for flying and violating an FAR due to poor planning on maintenance's (management) part, and a ball-less Captain.

[Comment deleted by moderator]. Your response, "Remind me to rub your entree around the inside of the toilet and on the lav floor" is the most tasteless and unprofessional one I have observed on any website.

Even though I disagree with Bill on several issues, I do agree Nor'Esta that your post was in poor taste and truly unprofessional. Remember the public has access to these boards and your post gives us all bad rap.

When you were hired, did you tell your interviewer that you would do something like that?

In all honesty. The public readers (that read most the topics in the USAV. forums) already believe we are buffoons.

If you believe you are a buffoon, then you are. Most of the AA F/A's are nice men and women.

Actually, I think she is a HERO for standing her ground! Of course she knows, she will lose here job, but she is standing up for her core beliefs...Remember? She is getting an award ,from her company, for an event, "HEART ATTACK ", that happend Over 3years ago, but AA has just now, Why? Decided to give it to her this award. Call her Ugly, tramp..what everyone, on this board ,likes to do, but reality is, what it is !Hmmmmm Inquiring minds want to know? All I can say is "THANK YOU!", for having the "gonads" to stand up for Reality!

What Unity?

AA has done these awards every few years, never has been an annual event. Cheaper to run it on a once every few year event, versus an annual event. Last time was 04, and prior to that was 98. If you had followed the previous posts to this topic.

So ,AirLUver?, SWA wannabe hired ,but didn't pass the interview process, So if it's every "few years", this event happens, When can we expect the next event? Hmmmm, Maybe a couple of months ,after the "PRESS" gets word of another inflight medical situation?
The medical situations on AA happen Daily! Unfortunately, you are not a F/A ,or couldn't get pass the interview process to become an "InFlight" Professional! Her "ACTUAL EVENT " happened over 3 years ago...She used the AED, saved a life, and just happened to be given an award following a "News" event of AA F/A's not being trained properly, resulting in a DEATH!.....You think this was done on purpose?, or just a coindence? Please before you post such ignorance, understand the job we do as F/A's!

I said "The public readers (that read most the topics in the USAV. forums) already believe we are buffoons."
Maybe I should clarify that.. Public readers as in Non-Airline employees.

From the publics (non-airline employees) perspective it looks like a 24/7 bit*chfest forum, but I think some important issues of real concern are being discussed.
I do however see alot of flaming on one another in here rather than fighting the real problem.. The TWU and Management (one in the same)
Does make for good reading though.
It's really sad to see how a FA can come forward and some people only care about her appearance. She's talking facts and had the balls to do it in public.
That says more for her than I've seen from most.

I also believe our FA men and women are the best as are all our AMT's, OSM's, A/C cleaners, Parts washers, Stock clerks, Fleet Service, Building Cleaners....the list goes on

Thank you BigMac for actually seeing the "REALiTY? If we were talking "Appearance" as the judgement of these Airline Professionals, then we (AA) should haved filed Bankruptcy a "Long" time ago! Been to MIA lately?, better yet, LAX? If you "guys" are meaning looking for "nice" , an professional F/A's .? You should check out the IDF girls....They are older than my "Great" grandmother and Very HOT!, not to mention, very nice! Just look for the Green "Harrods" bags walking through Terminals "D", and "A" at DFW! Damn! Having trouble going to bed right now just Dreaming!

Wow, So the NASA rocket scientist job didn't work out for you? Follow the pattern If in the past it was done every few years, in the future we can expect it to happen again in what? A few years.

The medical situations on AA happen Daily!
Actually they happen multiple times a day on all airlines, not just AA. But AA choose's not to honor the hero's who provide band-aid's and a cold cloth on the forehead. They have chosen to honer those people who saved a life.
Unfortunately, you are not a F/A ,or couldn't get pass the interview process to become an "InFlight" Professional!
So what is this, how you try to make yourself superior to other's? Is it necessary to be a FA to save a life or use an AED. After all, they are nearly idiot proof, and available everywhere these days.

Her "ACTUAL EVENT " happened over 3 years ago...She used the AED, saved a life, and just happened to be given an award following a "News" event of AA F/A's not being trained properly, resulting in a DEATH!.....You think this was done on purpose?, or just a coindence? What news event was that? Where in that rambling did she talk about that?

Her appearance and demeanor made her look like a ridiculous. She was unprepared and couldn't speak well. She hasn't flown in years, so her take is less credible. She claims of being fearful on a flight, but yet not enough to not get on and work the flight. The event was the wrong time and place. It was a sad, selfish act on her part.

Wow. He made it two years before getting banned under this name. I was beginning to think that he had mellowed.

I wonder what his sixth US Aviation identity will be.

And how many people actually get saved by the AED's? Two or three saves a year? Five?

If the AED's were being used on a weekly basis, there'd be justification to do the ceremony more often. Fortunately, that's not the case. History already proved that this was something done every few years, so call the CR Smith Museum and find out when the event was booked. If it was prior to the diabetic who died of CHF (which neither O2 or an AED can prevent), then the conspiracy theory doesn't hold water.

Maybe one of the PR folks who follow the board can provide proof of that.....

However true the FA's statement might have been, it was a PR disaster. For her. She came off looking like the nutjobs who go on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory show and talk about their proof of repeated psychic encounters with Sasquatch...

So quick to judge those by appearance Mikey? Are you really that Shallow that you now have to stoop to levels of judging individuals on their appearance, rather than respecting someones own beliefs...Wait? You live down in Miami, right? Of course, Looks are all that matters.
