Just got my notification from LIPA that my low income makes me eligible for REAP. From the brocheure:
"REAP is a LIPA program for customers with lower incomes that helps manage energy use and even lowers electric bills. Participation in REAP can make homes healthier and safer and guides customers to other low-income services.

Next I'll have to see if I qualify for food stamps too!

REAP Guidelines
Size of Household Annual income
1 $44,600 or less
2 $50,950 or less
3 $57,300 or less
4 $63,700 or less
5 $68,810 or less

But remember:

Dennis Burchette, president of TWU Local 514 in Tulsa, said he senses an improved outlook in many mechanics.

"There is definitely a change in mood -- not just in our membership but in all American employees who are starting to see some hope," Burchette said.

"Now people have hope. We're starting to work together as a team."

Yes the hope of getting assistance in paying the bills that the twu couldn't.

No reap program in Fla.
FPLA raised rates by 20 Percent to cover hurricane costs

They call it the rape program.
