I just love how these "Newbie" posters show up out of the blue to post something, and then are never heard from again.
airportman/Lovethesun - or whatever you want to call yourself next...weren't you already told not to post Private Messages? Since airportman was the one who got the PM from the Reserve Chair, how would Lovethesun have access to the same message since it was deleted by the Moderators days ago? I think it's hilarious when one person conjures up new screen name identities to rally support for what has become a long, drawn out personal attack. GOTCHA!
I know for a FACT that the Reserve Chair works his butt off in that office 5 days a week when not flying, and would welcome anyone that cares to go to the office and assist. It's really easy to criticize from your keyboard, why don't you go offer your services airportman/Lovethesun?
Here's the issue on that...Is the reserve chair willing to commit to say that the ELECTED officers come in 5 days a week at the office?????
Or is he more concerned about pissing them off and them taking away his position????
Anyone, care to answer? That's a legitimate question.
I personally know that Michael works hard...he cares and is dedicated, but is he willing to reveal what is known by many in that base about the two elected officers winfall?
I don't think so. I know that PIT, CLT, LGA, BOS officers are very dedicated LECs, I know personally that they don't abuse the ETB, heck the BOS rep can't even get away for one day because she is SO vocal on the MEC and making sure that the company is not abusing or violating the contract.
I only hear from many f/as from around the system that say that the two officers of PHL are flying anywhere from 150-180 International pay, and the time is coming from the base's company given flight pay loss for union business and ETB. In my view, they are as greedy as management and circumventing the concessions they supported.
BTW, one of those two officers are not getting the 105 company flight pay loss, because the base is only provided 105. The other one is receiving 105 International from UNION DUES $$$$
I don't get this. So why don't you run for the office or at least stop by and see what they have to deal with day in and day out? I am sure it is NOT pretty. Constant phone calls, questions, problems, upset F/A's, termination meetings, etc.... I would think that the better deal would be to collect 73 like the rest of us and work the occasional ETB. Let 'em enjoy their ETB trips!!! Thank you AFA70 for all the hard work you do. Union work will always be a thankless job....expect little or no respect until one of these people find themselves desperate, on the final level of dependability. Then, the tables will turn... Geez....
If its so busy in the office, how are they able not to come in every day? How can you go on ETB leave town and then have this "so called energy" to take care of contract violations or representing the many f/as????
I remeber the EX PIT/MEC President was so busy in the office every day, that she couldn't even leave town for 1 day to go on a damn vacation let alone fly ETB trips.
What kind of rep or how good is the rep if they are really working in the office as they say they are daily, and then flying on their off days ETB?
I've met them, worked with them...I've seen no such dedication to the f/as. Perhaps to managment; but not to the f/as group.
and, how would you know that they are "violating" the system unless you could actually see what they did from their own monthly schedule? Do you think day-to-day reserve screens give you the entire picture? Believe me, as an over-85 (pilot) thingy, you would be stupid, just from that, to even open your mouth in the belief you knew what was going on.
Someone posted someone elses schedule here. That, it would seem, might require an administrative response.
Honesty from your union reps from members who elect you and pay for that representation FROM UNION DUES $$$ is the same as what you would expect from a congrressional representative. If these types of individuals don't want to share that information or don't think its anyone's business, then they don't have to defend it or show it.
Simply put...they will just be out of office.
FULL DISCLOSURE!!!
FYI. CATCREW assigns a value of 5+00 for each AFA day -- this is a change since the LTO RSV system was put in place (before RSV LTO, "AFA days" had no value). That time may or may not be actually paid by AFA. Flight Pay Loss (AFA paid time) is not reflected in CATS. Therefore, a flight attendant off schedule on AFA business for 5 days (25+00 in CATS) may only receive five or ten hours Flight Pay Loss for those days -- this will not be reflected in CATS (but will cause a RSV's LTO to go "through the roof").
I just want to point out that what we see in CATS does not accurately reflect what a F/A on AFA business actually sees in his or her paycheck.
Just my 2 cents.

You are incorrect. These folks are PPO.
Again, Full disclosure, and if it weren't true, then they need to bring all their montly pay hours to the next union meeting!
But they won't because your elected reps will say "its no ones business", I work at home, I work in the office" my time is my time"....
But you won't see their schedules to actually check to make sure you have union reps that are monitoring any contractual violations and making sure they are spending the time necessary to protect the f/as that are in that huge base.
