CWA lost by 150 votes. Looking at it another way, it would won if it could have turned around 76 votes.
What is pathetic is the money AA Management spent to prevent this vote. Looks like a simple ballot in the beginning would have saved $$ in legal fees. But not the path of the arrogant fools. Of course since we gave up pay, benefits, pensions, medical, and work rules, there is plenty of cash to burn. When you include those who sat on their hands, CWA only managed to get the support of 27% of the employees eligible to vote.
Curious that only 56% of the agents & reps voted, assuming the 10,600+ number on the NMB's site is accurate.

Correct there was never 50% to begin with so why waste legal fees to see obvious result? DumbassesPerhaps. But some might see the money as well spent, since the union didn't win...
Again, 27% interest.
They needed 35% support for an election under the old rules.
Either CWA managed to lose 8% of their initial supporters along the way, or they didn't actually have enough cards in the first place.
