ALL 757 domestic flying going to CLT

You realize just the blocks of flying are going to CLT, not the actual airplanes. The airplanes themselves will still be frequently in and out of Philly.

CLT pilots are more accepting of company abuse?

This effects the ALPA "roll call" vote.

Excellent point, Pilot. So much for getting anything done for the pilots on the east. Giving the weakest of the "Weak Sisters" that extra clout on the MEC will certainly not bode well for this pilot group. Unless they recall those CLT LEC bozos, Nicolau here we come.

----------------

Update: After some calculation, the PHL and PIT reps still hold an extremely thin majority on the roll call in December. 1368 of 2691, or 50.8 percent. This does not factor in pilots in bad standing, and assumes all other MEC members' votes would be contrary to PHL/PIT.

Frankly, if ALPA remains on the property then at least 50% +1 of you deserve every bit of what is coming to you (both east and west), in all its increasing measure.

I understand 757 maint. is coming back to in-house from outsourcing and it will be done in CLT. I suspect that is the real reason the 757D time is coming to CLT.

I confronted this in the early '90s.

There is never a reason to base a domicile where maintenance is performed, unless you are performing maintenance on the pilots.

It would be far cheaper to build the cheapest trips and find out where the aircraft end up, then place maintenance (and the domicile there, if you must), instead of doing this tail wagging the dog maneuver.

I'm not attacking your position, but did you honestly analyze this?

It is cheaper to have the planes based where the mtc is going to occur, eliminates ferry flights, that is why US shutdown INT, to stop ferry flights.

Well hopefully the 757 will be refurbished (interiors, larger bins and updated galleys..........although the likelihood of ANY improvements is suspect/doubtful). Was just on a 757 recently..........gross, Can See Why people avoid it. Not to mention the Eflops version either. Trips are horrible, bathrooms are Outhouses and boy are they filthy. "If THIS IS THE BOEING, ME Not GOING!"
