Why are you always so violent? I have never ever wished death on you or any from the clown gallery (usapa) for that matter. I don't care one bit what you want or what you folks will vote for. I worked for AWA while you were on the streets deraming about another major job and now you and your band of merry men think you are ENTITLED to my position besed soley on the fact that you were hired at a failed company first?? You would be throwing wood for home depot without this transaction so you really need to get a grip and fast. Prater can't do a dam thing right so I doubt that he will will put ALPA in harms way of a mega law suit from us by imposing anything other than the NIC award as written..

I think you need to get your money back from your lawyer. His letter to the NMB and actions I predict will fail and your usapa drive will be over before you know it. Prater will then place THE EAST mec in trusteeship before you can do anymore damage and so that the company can try to make themselves a merger candidate. So lets see who will be right...

I read Lee's letter to the NMB and and if they allow you to pull what he suggests then you may have a shot but I am betting that they will not allow it and this drive will end here soon.

Wow! Being ex-Eastern myself...I find it completely amazing that the people making these things are so utterly, and apparently hopelessly, IGNORANT of the actual events of those times. It was Lorenzo that introduced Scabs at EAL, promoted the same at Continental, and was a big fan of "relative" values..on anything....(which makes me wonder somewhat about the maker of of the Great Alpo Goat Film's EAL DOH..Blue Card/Red Card..fess up buddy boy). No matter: Gentlemen!..We face a grave crisis!. USAPA should fold it's tents immediately!....These people have digitally deviant "cute" on their side!...This conflict may soon otherwise end up on MySpace!..I mean shah!..Fu'real!...this could get ugly Dude! (See earlier disclaimer as per playing with "the kids") 😉 Other than the formality with voting down Alpo's Offerred-at-the-last-minute/pre-decert "great contract"...this is, imho, pretty much over..except for being able to finally VOTE!

I try to keep up with what ALPA publishes reference the Blue Ribbon Committee and the Joint Negotiating Process. Perhaps I missed it, but despite some formal requests by some of the reps for an explanation of the constitutional legal basis and justification for the ACPC and the Blue Ribbon Committee, I have not seen it. Did anyone else catch it?

Has ALPA explained the new process and intent of the BRC? It doesn't seem so. If I recall they mandated a "blackout" of info. This absence of information is leading to some plausible speculation about ALPA's intent.

Two things here my man, first you didn't have a job to steal and second Nic just stopped you from from stealing from those of us who did have a future as AAA's was over!

We go no real benefit from it, in fact for most of us we are now further away from an upgrade then when we got hired and you seek to further that by trying to make us suffer what you suffered, passing the buck.

Your numbers are way off so I suggest you re-read that financial statement! I already had the house but it's was worth $675K prior to the economy and I never wanted a boat. Benz would be nice but I'm an SUV type and their's is too small.

You need to take a long look who who's stealing what and just what the award did to prevent the worst winfall of all, I know it's difficult for most of you but try to leave your emotions out and read the thing in it's entirety.

You have a choice:

1. Nic with thirty year fence.

2. DOH/LOS with fence until "senior" dudes retire at US, about eight years.

Realize that until LAS/PHX become attractive to industry, the west will always have low yield routes, little to no growth, likely contraction. It appears US has no dance partner this coming round, unless, say, a commuter steps up and then a Nic type award might seem quite the disadvantage for the AWA dudes/dudettes.

There is a growing sense among several who are in the know that ALPA national may set aside all semblances of representation or notions of legitimacy and actually bulldoze a cramdown by replacing MEC members to set up a kangaroo committee to rush through a fix, and perhaps may even deny any vote of the members.

It could be argued that ALPA has already carelessly cast aside any legitimacy by establishing the ACPC and the BRC under clouds of suspicion and curious neglect to actually cite the legal provisions for their existence, procedures, or purpose. There is even a mandated blackout?

It is troubling that ALPA has not aggressively addressed these issues that erode their legitimacy but even more troubling is that ALPA may consider declaring a fix by any means that would completely alienate and disregard the dues paying members.

At some point the ALPA leaders are going to have to carefully calculate the effect that the current damage will do to their future ability to regain control in future efforts to return USAir into the ALPA fold. At some point it will be beyond even that. When will ALPA's present disregard for guarding institutional legitimacy undercut their very survival as an association?
