And we are supposed to believe you would man up and honor your agreement if you lost the bet? ha ha ha ha , good one. Yeah, yeah, I know you mentioned a few ground rules, but I wouldn't count on that. Ground rules, what are those? Ah, there will be a way around that.

Send me your email via a PM and we'll get this party started. Or do you have the balls? If you'd like we'll make it a neutral that YOU trust to hold the checks. I will go far enough to trust you on this. You don't have to trust me. Wouldn't expect it from someone who works for a group who has scabs on board. No one you have worked with can be trusted.

Let's get going. You guys know USAPA is just a joke. Here's an easy way for you to prove it and make a quick buck in doing so.

Yo, Sparky, and all you other AWA guys:

5 Grand says there will be a vote on this property arranged by the NMB to determine if ALPA or USAPA is the bargaining agent for the pilots of US Airways. The NMB voting date will be set sometime within the next two months from this date 2/12/07.

Please respond to this wager on these boards and I will get with you privately via email to arrange for a neutral party to hold certified bank checks that will go to the winner of the wager.

Your confidence in the ineptness of the USAPA organizers should make this an easy 5 Grand for you all. I will cover ALL bets from AWA pilots only.

I would take you up on your offer but it would be too easy and you would say it wasnt fair and want a do over. You would have already lost your five grand because before you make a wager check your date your are 10 months and 12 days past your your wager. 2/12/07 Today is 2/12/08. Typical East pilot.

I'm not confident enough of anything regarding usapa or ALPA to make a 5 grand bet, that wasn't my point. Unlike you, if I lose I expect to pay, and I don't have 5 grand for that just laying around. Therefore, I won't even make the bet in the first place.

How about a big keg party or pig roast hosted by the loser in PHX or out east hear.

And I would expect to pay if I lose. Hence the offer to let your guy hold the money. You assume we have no character because we are fighting a flawed arbitration that destroys the careers of the East pilots? You are telling me you wouldn't do the same? Regardless of "binding" arbitration? We had a "binding" contract too that included a defined benefit plan. Where is that "binding" contract now?

What we are doing is the very essence of character. It is something that any pilot group with any sense would do. How you cannot understand that is beyond me. We are finally standing up for ourselves. And the profession. ALPA won't do it. We will.

USAPA is going to win here. Then we are going to negotiate the nic award out of existence. And we will protect the seats of EVERY pilot on this property. NO ONE is going to lose a Captains seat or base. We will negotiate a list that is date of hire with fences and protections for each pilot, East and West.

And the bet remains open to any AWA pilot who wants it.

And what aRE YOU OFFERING MANAGEMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR this?

Also what kind of contract besides doh are you going to get us?

Before Nicolau ruled I was looking at the east proposal and figuring out how I would live with it. You see, I considered that something may not go the way I believe it should. Obviously, you folks never considered any other way than your way. Its obvious you guys still think you can make the world accede to your demands, just because you say so. You guys are an arrogant broken record. Obviously that is a broad statement and I by no means characterize the entire east group as such, those such as you, I do. Keep on huffin and puffin.

It wasn't our way. It was the way ALL of our mergers had gone. Under ALPA auspices. Then they changed the rules in the middle of the game and we attempted to play them their way. Until Nic decided not to follow all aspects of the merger policy. And Prater informed us after the fact that he didn't have to.

Take my bet there little lynyrd.

By the way, when you're flying your next trip try to keep in mind the flight you're on, the seat you're in, the overnight your are headed to, the vacation you're planning for, the days off you're looking forward to and the upgrade you have or are expecting to have is based on SENIORITY. Seniority that began on the date you were hired.

Not some old man's decision on what HE thinks is fair.

Well Leon, we'll offer to fly their jets for them for a start. At rates no less than what Southwest is paying. Or is that too much for us to ask?

Someday the pilots will realize what it is we do for the company and not the other way around. We offer to fly their jets. What do you think we should offer them. More concessions?

Management won't care one way or the other so long as it meets their criteria. You remember, no bump, no flush, no furloughee replaces a working pilot (BTW, there are no more furloughees) and conditions and restrictions that keep costs neutral. There are a couple of others but I forget them right now.

As for a contract, we'll get the best contract we can negotiate, depending on how much obstruction the west puts up. Just remember that management knows the current majority resides in the east. So if you want a better contract then I would suggest you support USAPA if it is elected. I don't really expect that much support initially, so I don't expect a great contract either. I do expect one that is better than what we have though.

Care to take my bet Tiger?

I'm with the dead horse group. Sounds like you can make some easy money pal.

C'mon, put your money where your mouth is smart guy.

Listen and learn. USAPA is coming. Instead of resisting please try to participate, that is the only way you can guarantee adequate restrictions and conditions to protect your pilots. The east cannot know your point of view unless you participate. Not one east pilot really wants your job/domicile, especially knowing the hate and discontent it brings.

Quit doing #1 into the wind and accept the inevitable, help us guide the union and help yourselves in the process. Take the time to make your case and all will listen. If nothing else, at least acknowledge that ALPA needs competition. They have descended into a self-protection mode, ceding ground left and right. Past time to shock them out of it and allow the pilots to gain the profession they deserve.

Just sayin'
