I was wondering what seniority number from the April 01 Class is currently active.
Also, above somebody mentioned 90 recalls? Have the letters been sent out yet?

I can give you one employee number of an active f/a from the 4/01 class- xxxx Edited by moderator. Please do not post employee numbers.

I don't know if letters have been sent out yet but the idea behind the separation package was to entice the most senior people to take the money and run and fill those vacancies with furloughees.

There's a drought of reserve flying right now but in anticipation of gearing up for spring I expect they will be sending letters out in the not too distant future.

The last thing we need is to have more F/A's recalled from furlough. There are MANY Reserves (PIT/PHL/CLT) that barely break 30-40 hours monthly. WHY in the world woud they want to add more people on the payroll? The current Reserve System is a JOKE.....absolute travesty- people that want to work are prohibited and those that don't encouraged not too. (Whomever created this LTO System needs to be fed to the wolves, and they wonder about morale?).

Had to revise my choice of animal........instead of wolves I hear Bobcats have become a real problem out West. Regardless, the system needs to GO! Certain people have found a way to circumvent the ETB (with their own MSN driven system) and the ETB has been way too prohibitive for evryone, esp the reserves. Not everyone wants to fly 90 hours and when some people are bringing in checks of 120-130 hours and the majority of reserves never break guarantee, THERE IS A PROBLEM! (I am a BLKHLDER and have many friends that are Reserves and this System is is such an injustice that Management and Union are to blame for this incredible disservice). Until this issue is rectified they are literally blowing smoke up each others arsces at the Bargaining Table.

Explain to me why we would want to fill the vacancies. As stated earlier, we have too many f/a's on the property. It wouldn't make sense to bring people back to sit around and be miseable.

And really, nothing can be finalized until the pilots do something. That is due to the "me too" clause. Their are too many things that are effected by it, so as long as the pilots don't budge, we will go nowhere.

Astro honey you are right on the money. Hey a little rhyme. Even if the f/a's wanted to separate from the pilots they DO have some things we'd like to "me too" on and THAT I don't see changing. Not all but SOME things are to our benefit as flight attendants. I know the splitting would be great for time but imagine what the company would build as trips on the east. If your legal to do that one day west coast and back imagine a DREAM trip on the 737 with 4 PHL-MCO turns they would build. NO THANKS. Trust the union to negotiate good sound contract language? NO THANKS. Gray areas all around as it is with dumb and dumber at the table already. 🙄 As for this dreaded reserve system, well there isn't really much more to say that hasn't already been said. We are going to have to live with it for now. Giving reserves our seniority back is only right. As for how they will do this without making the most junior still suffer is another issue. As for quick calls, you will most likely see the most junior in base taking the quick calls. I don't see THAT going away. Just don't IMO. It WILL be interesting to see where this all goes. We'll most likely colonize Mars before seeing a joint contract.

Hey N109UW, nothing to explain. It's not MY idea. I agree that we do not need additional f/a's right now but may for late spring.
I'd be delighted to see our invol furlough list cleared but right now I'm more concerned with getting more than 30-40 hours/month.

Tell ya what, we'll just send some of our clt rsv's whereever we need them. We have way too many in clt. Just look at the last day of each month and count the number of f/a's who break guarantee. Sept-(17 out of 288), We are always overstaffed in clt. Doesn't matter the time of year. I don't want furloughs either, but I want more than 35-40 hours per month. It's not fair to anyone. If we have too many, then solve the problem, VPLOA or just straight furlough.

Call me strange, but I don't care to fly anymore than I do, really. They pay me 73 anyway. If they are too dumb to figure out their staffing, oh well. I'd love to see all of our co-workers back, and maybe even new ones, who's life hasn't revolved around tieing a bag of pretzels to a sticky basket for decades. If the lists ever merge they will have to do something anyway- the west can't keep F/As working there past graduation, they have the exact opposite problem we do.
