Don't you remember luvn??...usapa told them they could have your seniority for a "cost neutral" contract.

Who needs a raise when you can steal another man's better paying job?
Well, not seeing it" last time an AB job "WEST" paid better than an EAST job so , your point is? Besides those valuable "WEST" expansion positions, go for it, with our blessing and your attrition! MM!

Now think for a second, junior, about what you wished for in your post. If the West pilots had been locked out (which USAPA would have forced Parker to do) the airline would have immediately folded up.

Exactly. In other words; had you, as a collective group, actually demonstrated any degree of courage and stood by your supposed "principles", instead of folding up at the very first hint of trouble....just maybe you would have been loudly heard? 😉

Printing T-shirts proclaiming fantasized group "Integrity", putting out infantile videos, pretending you're heroic little "spartans" and hiring smarmy lawyers is easy. Growing a spine's a bit more problematic it seems. 😉

Put me down for a vote of entirely unimpressed.....

At a time when labor peace is their stated goal, club owners have dismissed baseball's impartial arbitrator, George Nicolau, who held the position twice as long as any of his predecessors and ruled in landmark collusion and drug cases.

John Westhoff, a lawyer with the Player Relations Committee, notified Nicolau in a letter dated last Wednesday that the clubs were exercising their rights under the collective bargaining agreement and unilaterally firing him after nine years on the job.

"It was not a reaction
He was just out of touch! Somebody else saw it also!

BTW....Not a free ride. My upgrade has been postponed indefinitely because we tied up to the Titanic.

"Tissue?" Aww...there, there...just take the whole box of 'em...after all...you're "entitled"..aren't you? 😉

http://news.yahoo.com/american-us-airways-one-step-closer-merger-153239875--finance.html The combined carrier would have considerable presence in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Charlotte, N.C., Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix and Los Angeles. It is unclear how many of those cities will survive the merger. In past mergers, airline executives have promised not to close any hubs but have gone ahead and dramatically reduced service in once-key cities US Airways has said that it would move its headquarters from Tempe, Ariz. to American's in Fort Worth, Texas Has the light come on yet or those "WEST" valuable what a fuloughed pilot or a useless job brings to a merger getting some attention? MM!

Of course, you could have brought in your furloughees and replacements, but then the'd have to change the name of the airline to Ansett, and you know how you like to pass off the specious notion that you have no scabs among you.

Wow! Bringing up the actual scab scenario of the west at Ansett?...And yet somehow feeling an insane sense of entitlement to even use that as a supposed insult to anyone but yourselves? Are you serious!!!??? Whew!....That's light years past just plain unbelievable!

Seriously; did you guys have those "Integrity Matters" T-shirts printed up in China...with unusually heavy concentrations of toxins in them? 😉

I think it is a given that east and west are going to stay on their current payscales and seperate until the final word is out on the AA thing. It is in Tempes best interest to do so and no matter what Silver says on OCT 2nd we will be exactly where we are now however many years it takes tempe and AA to figure out what they are doing.

Until Parker has to he is not going to do anything that he does not have to that will cost him more money. even if the east wins the 3% longevity raises it is cheaper for Doug to remain seperate ops.

Follow the money to see what Tempe will do, its that simple.

If Silver rules that the company is not liable for ignoring the Nic atrocity, Parker will have that list shredded in a New York second (and I know about New York seconds.)

The AA merger will be on fast track, and the McCaskill-Bond process will consider three seniority lists (actually four including the newhires.)

Yes....follow the money. The AA merger is HUGE money for Parker, Horton and the dozens of unknown money-people who will engineer it. The AWA-USA merger is pittance by comparison.

The simple answere is the APA had no problem putting TWA pilots with greater longevity at the bottom. They will want to put the LCC pilots at the bottom, no matter what longevity the LCC pilots have.

No doubt, the APA pilots will want to do a repeat of the way they did the TWA merger.

Have you missed any mention of the McCaskill-Bond law? Have you been under a rock for the past several years?

My thoughts, if she doesn't, DUI will offer up the WEST in a sale with some other assets to satisfy UNCLE SAM, either way the "WEST AND THEIR USELESS LAWSUITS ARE TOAST" follow the money! MM!

I'm not sour, just SUPREMELY disappointed in many east pilots continued lack of integrity.

Well...that's really your group's fault. Despite repeated requests; no one's yet sent me any way-cool "Integrity Matters" T-shirt(s)....so how am I ever supposed to instantly and magically imbue myself with such? 😉
