All westies I know personally are top notch people. I have not heard a single one tell me that they would scab. I try to remind myself of that when I read such b.s as luvn spews.

As we all should. I've long ago and often noted that there are many very decent people out there, and have had the pleasure of speaking with some of them myself. Anyone who ever judges an entire group on the basis of a very few always errs in doing so.
 
Well...no offence, but it must be fairly noted that your predictions haven't been right yet, so I'm thinking I'll choose to not lose any sleep over this latest as well. As for predictions; I must admit that I do find it literally unbelievable that you seem to honestly feel PHX to be not only safe, but destined to grow as well.

No matter, as I'm not wishing anyone out of a job here...although you certainly seem to relish the idea of others' imagined misfortunes more tonight than is even the now-standard case for you. Since "nothing has changed" and all is indeed well out west.......one can only wonder why that is the case....? 😉

Heck! I thought the whole "relative" credo of the west was that nothing in the way of positions/"expectations"/etc was supposed to change anyway. It seems to me that "nothing has changed" should therefore be cause for great rejoicing out your way...no?

My predictions have not been right?? I hit this Silver thing out of the park East. I have been saying continuously that she will affirm the 9th. She did. The problem is usapa supporters are too thick skulled to understand what the 9th said.

I don't want to see anybody lose their job...that is why it upset me so much when the scabs at usapa actually stole West jobs. It will upset me even more to see my job get stolen by an east scab, and that has been the usapa plan since the little lawyer told the east he could help you do it.


I do not think PHX is safe...I just said Parker and KIrby have both said post merger PHX would grow...do I believe them....actually,,, no.

Well..whatever else is true nic; I wish us all the best in the times ahead. I figure that our conversations, however "spirited" or even seemingly hostile, must be measured against far more reasonable discussions from the past, and I imagine you to also hold no serious ill will as well. I feel we both legitimately believe in our respective positions, as so often stated here. I don't believe that's universally true of some others.The whole situation has proven a toxic brew for all concerned, to say the least, and we'll all be the better for the eventual ending of it...not to confuse that with ever agreeing on how and what that should be, of course. 😉 Take care and have a good evening.

Umm...you could always lighten up on the "scab" thing, but then I'd be forced to be somewhat less abrasive as well..and what fun would that be? 😉

I see. So...your personal "ethics" are indeed, entirely situational then? That's rhetorical, since anyone with an actual moral code or existent ethics, doesn't change them because "but Mom!...all the other kids are doing it!", or didn't your parents ever even instruct you in that regard? You would be no one I'd ever choose to depend on in any semblance of a tough situation....period!

I will tell you what I think...I think usapa has a "friend" in upper management who abets the east and their scab union. Frankly, I hope I am right...because that is a solid collusion link for the company in any future lawsuit.

The COMPANY, on all accounts. They have done what is convient for them, not the east. Pull your head out of your ass. There is not a single east pilot flying a former west airplane-FACT.

And the company is following up on collecting the "overage" from former MDA pilots.

It is my understanding that the West is at fleet min and the east is "slightly" above fleet min with the added bonus of a fleet of 190s that do not count in fleet min, in which, there are ironically seats owed the West due to arbitration along with some 757 flying, that are actually being flown by West pilots now recalled east after usapa used the company to steal their West jobs.


"Following up"???? What is that BS. The company started down the collection process road from the West on the distance learning over payment the day after scab Parella dropped the grievance. And, even if they are "following up" where the hell is the min block payment 4 years after the fact?

Pull my head out of my ass??? You do not see the gross discrimination taking place here?

The company decides to furlough in 2008....they need to lay off 300 pilots...so 175 or 10% of the West (that is already at and which is taken below min block) and 125 or less than 3% of the east (that is still above min block), and to add insult, they retain pilots who are by all measures junior to their West counterparts at usapa's request so the scabs can make a statement supporting their seniority theft scam?

Here is another fact for you....there are east pilots flying IAE powered America West orders that the east has taken delivery of, and from what I understand you getting more next year, so you have stolen not only jobs, but aircraft as well.

Bullshit. In case you weren't aware, US Airways had more A/C on order at the time of the merger than America West. Weren't all those orders redone many times? Whine to Doug. Your stupid rants about "scabs" and "theft" undermine any reasonable argument you make.
 
Yes I think USAPA should fast track us for release into self help, the sooner the better. A 99 hour month or two will make for a fine Christmas, even if I end up stuck in CLT for a few months.

I'd even support a collection for the east guys, "Toys fer 'tards" (just nothing with sharp edges on it).

So, with West pilots on furlough, your plan is to fly a couple of "99" hour months to help pay for a "nice" Christmas?! <_<
