But using the mindset of a 20 or 25 year pilot would never enter into that equation. You seem so locked in your own logic/lifestyle decisions you are unable to view the world as anything other than "what you would do."

Yeah, I have 25 years and when I bid a position I'm locked in my own "logic/lifestyle" .

E190 Captain is 3 times the work for the same pay as 320 F/O for most of us here.

That's why a 2 year pilot can hold it.

No, that is not why a 2 year pilot can hold it. It has nothing to do with "workload." It is an hourly pay/time off/lifestyle choice. In over 28 years I have only found one flying job to be "more work." That would be Flight Engineer. Again, why would a 2 year pilot make any decisions based on "why" his potential seat is open? Uncle, I give up. RR

A two year pilot can hold it because a 25 year pilot doesn't want the job.

A320 F/O is a better job for the 25 year pilot, same money and less work (number of legs flown).

You're hopeless.

Is "Captain" Mike's first, second, or third name?

For once you said something accurate. Sorta like InfoWars every once in a blue moon.

'traderjake' E190 Captain is 3 times the work....

Yeah, I have 25 years and when I bid a position I'm locked in my own "logic/lifestyle" .

Anyone else see a common theme there? 🙂

Fairly noted and agreed with here. Since when did airline "captain" become any assigned "rank" or proper, personal "title" outside of the workplace environment? Oh well...We live in such sorry times that even police chiefs "uniform"/costume themselves like generalissimo-four-to-five-"star"-field-marshalls...so why be surprised at any degree of ridiculous pretense anymore?

Yeah. Sorta like guys that fancy themselves as Internet "Aces" that challenge folks to dogfights and such. The nerve of some people...

Hit a "nerve" with your pathetic self, did it...umm....err..."captain"? 😉 My point made, and thanks for the predictable chuckles. 🙂

Hint: A "kid" in his mid 20's that's commanding so much as a company/flight/whatever is an actual Captain. Anyone who's most grand, personal "glory" amounts to: "My PSA DOH seniority allows me to drive an airliner around at a given corporation's momentary whims, in the left seat for the moment"? = Not-so-much. You're just a wanna-be-numbnutted-nobody, and will remain so for the duration of your sorry, earthly existence. Not anyone's fault but yours. 😉

Your most welcome Colonel, or is it General now? Sounds to me like you're the one with nerve damage!

As always, thanks for the laughs and the emoticons. You are the best!

No need for any thanks, mighty "captain". I'm always happy to be of service to the less fortunate. 🙂 Just a kindly suggestion: Perhaps you and the likes of "CapnAux" should get together and impress yourselves with each other...After all...you're both majestic and awesome airline "captains", aren't you? 😉
