Hi Bean..... I am enjoying these very much....I have used them about 3 times since bought them in the last week, once on a 3 hr flight, and twice during work outs. It seems that the more I wear them, the better the fit (or maybe I'm just learning to use them better). The noise cancelling device is rechargeable, I think it holds a 6 hr charge. They have a shirt clip, then just above that is a "control box". It allows you to control the volume of your device from that point, skip ahead or backwards in song selections, and, if you're using an iPhone, it has a microphone in it. Also, you can't beat the purchase plan. $25/month, interest free with no delays for a credit check or any of that kind of BS. Quick purchase time. Might even look a little better than your speed tape set. 🙂 breeze http://www.bose.com/...p&Variant=qc20i

Thanks for the info.

As a real General, James H. Doolittle once said, " I Could Never Be So Lucky Again."

"As a real General,"..? Sigh! Are you pretending to be even a "real Captain" now? Seriously? 😉 Surprisingly; I don't recall ever even presuming on Flag rank, and the late General Doolittle happens to be among my notions of what true Heros, from those that don't qualify through the ultimate sacrifice, are. What makes such as your sorry self even bring that actual Man up in conversation? Are you vainly attempting some would-be-"spartan" sort of personal/Fantasyland "association"...umm..."captain"? 🙂 If so...you're a hell-of-a-lot more presumptious than my poor self. Any Man who could comfortably race the GeeBee, figure out a virtually miraculous method by which to attack Japan with medium bombers off a frikkin' carrier, and lead the mission himself's in a league I'll never presume towards. Your actual mileage may vary...mighty corporate "captain" (or perhaps it's even honorary "spartan"?) 😉

No matter. Grow up, and quit pouting about never seeing the inside of the Miramar club other than in a movie...half-arsed-excuse for a "PSA" guy. 🙂

Until then, Dave O Dell is smoking up that DCA list.

Well good for Dave, that's nice to hear. As for me, I'm west coast at heart and don't want to be based back east. After researching different areas, Asheville would be my first choice, only 2 hrs to CLT. Like I said though, I'd rather stay west.

Bean

I don't care who you are, that thars funny. +1 point for each of you.

Bean

That much...We'll agree on. 😉

PS: If future circumstances ever require you to uproot the family (not ideal...understood) and head east of the Ole' Miss, well...there's perks and less-so attendant to anywhere one lives. I do hope that all of you with many years to go find a decent and rewarding career with the AMR merger. It'd gladden the heart of an ancient creature to look back and see ANY upward trend for the pilots in this nowadays, completely insane industry. 🙂 Umm...DO realize that you'll be facing off against essentially infantile, greed-soaked, narcicisstic sociopaths in the way of "management" though. Whatever future sense of "We're all in this together" that could be manufactured in any way, wouldn't hurt any of you.

Thanks. I'm hoping that between the M/B law and the MOU, the AA/US integration won't be the nuts kicking contest we've had.

Understood. What perhaps should've been added as a "PS": Umm...DO realize that you'll be facing off against essentially infantile, greed-soaked, narcicisstic sociopaths in the way of "management" though. Whatever future sense of "We're all in this together" that could be manufactured in ANY way, wouldn't hurt you all..

If memory serves; we've both done Business School at at least a Bachelor's level or above, and one thing I'll properly note, and if your experience permits, you'll agree with, is that I've NEVER observed the industry "management" becoming so almost universally, utterly immoral, and completely despicable as it has since 9-11, when the petty little corporate rapists were loosed from any even imaginable, legal leash, and given essentially free reign to loot and pillage as such sorry creatures, if left unchecked, always will. The days of Juan Trippe/Eddie Rickenbacker/even Herb K, really, just visionaries of ANY sort in commercial airlines, seem sadly long past. Whatever the results of this 6+ year-tragically-gratifying-to-the-often-drunken/drugged-fools-who-laugh-in-the-"high"-corporate-offices about this mutual folly over seniority...well..."Y'all jess' be careful" in the future, and it'd be in all pilots best interests to, as quickly as possible, see yourselves as an actual, cohesive group....if at all possible....period. In the long run...you've only got each other.

Note that's "proudly" posted on Youtube for literally the ENTIRE WORLD to see. Does that pathetic, "way-cool-dude" display truly instill unwavering confidence, or manifest ANY shiver of "pride" down anyone's back? 😉

Any questions? "Ah ha ha!...Tee hee!...How "cute/funny"/etc...Well...If one were attending a drunken Frat bash, or was perhaps 13 to at most 16-22 years old, that is...or was just tragically stuck, by way of addiction-atrophied personal "development", to no forward maturation than that point. Good luck AWA/US/AMR guys/gals, and try to find some/ANY way to stick together....You'll need to. Good luck to, and may God Bless all concerned.

PS: While "management's"...apparent...umm..."job", to be "compensated" by many, many millions of dollars is apparently this: https://www.youtube....h?v=-Wp-xumQCew , YOUR job is being always ready to do something like this: https://www.youtube....h?v=mLFZTzR5u84 Feel enough like complete SUCKERS yet? You should. Essentially ZERO major revenue is generated by "interesting" cases dancing around "Gangnam Style". It's made by employees/pilots moving revenue passengers/cargo around.

Don't ever lose proper respect for yourselves....Umm...Although you west folk "might" want to stop a bit short of being self-styled "spartans" and "knights, who've fought with valor in many battles". 😉

Doesn't this fall directly in the lap Scott Theuer (Sewer with a lisp)? He was Mr, err, Captain Communications, who so bluntly claimed "we don't need a plan B".

It was his responsibility to insure the trade marks were in place. But who cares, you can't fix stupid and your glorious dear leader is....

Ole' Jack sums it up well-

Bingo , we have a winner, DUI will drag this out through the courts(his neutral filings aint so neutral) at least another 6 years, since the MOU the EAST, yes EAST gave up SCOPE and COC language my opinion DUI will set up WEST bases in CLT, PHL, LAX, keeping their block hours and leaving this group the lowest cost by "FAR" MAJOR carrier for the next 6 years! One only has to look at their treatment of EAGLE to see where this train will go!

Really? His "neutral shuffle" worked great because he kept you on bankruptcy wages for as long as you continued to balk at the agreed upon arbitration process & resulting list.

Effective the POR date, we all get the wage immediately. Neutral doesn't work, AND the new company can't benefit from the synergies.

Sorry Bub. APA has said "our" seniority will be done before they touch the AMR-LCC pilot seniority. Parker has said the same. The bankruptcy court has intimated the same.

The MOU time table is very short. You should spend your time on more productive activities, rather than poor prognostication.

Well Michael, it's like a breath of fresh air reading your above post...almost inspirational regarding your new-found sense of "We're all in this together". I'm pleased to see that you finally see the damage inflicted upon the whole when any portion sets-out to intentionally inflict harm upon another.

I also agree with your cautionary note regarding management. By now, we should all realize that Doug is an opportunistic predator. Whether it is an airline in bankruptcy or a pilot group that volunteers to remain on BK wages to avoid an agreement they had made...Doug will happily go for the kill!
