We screwed up when Nicolau said "Both sides need to reconsider their positions" and we said "No".

We got less tha we should have but it's due to our own actions.

No doubt that the east screwed up, but Nicolau's job was to come up with a fair SLI, not punish the truculent children.

We've been over and over it before Jake, but let's review one thing. You remember AOL's slick brochure? You remember where they said that the east upgrade was "only" delayed by a maximum of 2 years. You know where that came from? It took me a while but I found out it it was from the east ALPA MEC report to the ALPA national BOD. Well, it was the east's number, but what old Ken Holmes left out was that the east pilots upgrade was delayed because some on the west would ACCELERATE by 6 years. That is a windfall AT THE EXPENSE OF ANOTHER. There will always be windfalls, but that was against ALPA merger policy.

Oh the times they are a changin. Just heard from a very reliable source that the west will be recalling the furloughed pilots and the west pilots flying on the east will be transferred back to the west. Quickly.
That's good news for everybody. With the shortages that snap has been reporting on the west it's about time they got the guys back. As to the rest of your post.....well that shows your real character. So far 2 east guys have chimed in about how good it is that they are finally getting your furloughed west guys back. But in your case you could not give two sh^ts about the the guys that have been on the street, you just could not wait to jump on here and try to turn it into some weird east bash fest. You act as if we would be horrified that all of the west guys are finally being recalled. You are one strange self obsessed fellow. Welcome back to all the furloughed folks returning!

That's great news for everyone if true. I'd heard that with the constraints of the TA gone the west block hour requirement could be flown with fewer pilots after POR so they were trying to get along with what they had during the summer. If your source is correct it might mean they have no plans to shrink PHX and that's good for all of us.

Their sources are correct. Go on wings and check their Read File.

If it's true that the west furloughs are coming back west it's great news. As far as DCA, I'm not hoping anything bad happens for our(west/east) pilots out east. Yes, the combined company may have to give up a few slots, but I don't see why there would be any significant downsizing of crews. The attrition that is happening over the next few years should balance that out and then some. Anyways, hope the guys that want to come west are able to and the the guys and gals that want to stay in DCA can do so too.

It seems that the companies scheme to run the west lean and pump up the east has backfired. Now the east controlled flt. Ops has gotten caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Those of you crowing about Dave O'Dells sprint up the east seniority list, it might not be so meteoric when the growth stops on the east and the company just lets the attrition bring the east back to more reasonable numbers. While the west gets the new hires to cover the flying in PHX.

You eastie that were dreaming of a holding a line could enjoy reserve a little longer then you thought. But you know all good things must come to an end. Things are going to change fast around here and after eight years of benefiting from this merger you easties are not going to like it when you get left behind in the next merger. You are not going to like that separate ops thing when the rest of the bases are growing and you are shrinking.

Yea.. Put your seatbelt on and don't forget your goggles. Real fast. Breakneck speed. I feel sorry for the guys being recalled. I hope they have a choice.

Good advice for the west. See, we lost respect for ourselves many years ago. That lack of self-respect got us LoA93 and allowed us to dump $8 million into a lawyer whose promised amounted to be nothing more than snake oil. It also allowed us to elect some of the lowest class of filth to lead us in our fight against the Nicolau. One slept with a lawyer and "lost" his laptop. One is now suing his own union for back pay and trademark infringement, and another is now living in a Cancun vacation home funded by FPL. And all three are out on medical.
So yes, don't ever lose respect for yourselves. You'll end up justifying why you stayed on a bankruptcy contract for a decade and do it with a twinkle in your eye.
You've got about a month and a half left of USAPA and your battle will have been won. The west never lost respect for themselves and are now about to see it pay out.

Ask Eddie Chandler about losing his respect and the other Franke troopers who were real scabs. Ask them about the lives and jobs they stole. They are about to see their latest scheme flame out.

Good luck against SWA in your lone hub. And the AA plans for LAX. Phoenixburgh is an apt description.

Now Cleardirect is hearing voices. LAX is the American focus. Your hub could not support itself without you sucking flying off the east.

I just gave back what I got.

One of you eastie was crowing about how Dave Odell was so much better on the east. How long have you guys been screaming about the stagnation on the west? Guess you don't have a problem when one of your says it.

I am pointing out that you easties are about to get a taste of what the west has had for eight years.

It is good news the the west pilots that should have never been furloughed are being recalled. It is also great news that the west is finally going to participate in this merger after all this time.

Claxon, if you're going to post something so mean and spiteful, could you at least have the courtesy to keep it to one post? Thank you in advance.

Guess what Mike? The west is going to be doing a lot more flying "off the east".

The east is going to feel the stagnation going forward.

GAO report I read said CLT is vulnerable and MIA will grow. Enjoy those 190's while the 330 move out.
