I just gave back what I got.

One of you eastie was crowing about how Dave Odell was so much better on the east. How long have you guys been screaming about the stagnation on the west? Guess you don't have a problem when one of your says it.

I am pointing out that you easties are about to get a taste of what the west has had for eight years.

It is good news the the west pilots that should have never been furloughed are being recalled. It is also great news that the west is finally going to participate in this merger after all this time.
Not sure where you are getting the "taste of what the west had" part. It is a given that with every merger hiring stops and things generally stand still for a bit while the consolidation happens. Everybody on the east knew that as soon as the AA deal was announced last year. Most here have seen it at least 2 times before, some have seen 4 or 5. However I presume the only exposure you have had with it is the US/AWA abortion, which so far cannot be remotely considered as a merger, not for the pilot group anyhow, so I guess I can understand your confusion. Nothing unexpected happening that I have seen yet. It's a good move by Parker since according to Snap you guys are short of F/O's right now and its a good thing to get all the folks back prior to the POR so everybody is covered under the no furlough clause etc. That combined with the new rest rules kicking in January which everybody seems to agree will require more staffing to cover.

As far as DCA, I'm not hoping anything bad happens for our(west/east) pilots out east.

That's because that you, unlike a few posters on here, are a rational, intelligent and sane person.

I'd be happy for the west furloughed guys(except one), but for selfish reasons I'd love to see PHX survive and thrive. I've been watching refugees come to CLT for about 25 years now!

The Nicolau is very similar to other awards. If ours was such a disaster it would be the only one of its kind.

Where have you been for the last 6 1/2 years? Hello??? I think it's safe to say it's one of a kind......and a disaster.

The biggest disaster was your career prior to the merger. 17 years got you furloughed. That is a disaster.

And so somehow you should benefit from that to the continued detriment to the east.

Good luck against SWA in your lone hub. And the AA plans for LAX. Phoenixburgh is an apt description.

They've been going against SWA for over 20 years in PHX and doing just fine. LAX is short on gates and the chances of anything moving there from PHX are zero. You sound desperate with the junk you're posting.

Guess what Mike? The west is going to be doing a lot more flying "off the east".

The east is going to feel the stagnation going forward.

GAO report I read said CLT is vulnerable and MIA will grow. Enjoy those 190's while the 330 move out.
Which makes better sense: recall everyone and sell PHX, or close PHX and be left holding the bag?
