Man I gotta get me one of those!

Are you sure? How do you know the 15year pilot that got trashed in the NIC behind the 6mos AWA pilot won't get further trashed, Totally disagree, The economic benefits for you maybe, For one I am not an ENABLER, DUI got here, he want's to lead, he might try setting an example! To little to late!

The 15 year pilot hasn't been trashed by the Nic, because we don't work under the Nic. He has been trashed by LOA93. This is not rocket science, add up the numbers since LOA93 went into effect. We have had a virtual fence in place since 2005. As I recall, the NAC said the economic benefits to the pilots from this merger amounts to about 1.5 billion. And that means economic benefits to you. The economic benefits of separate ops while on LOA93 till now and projected forward several more years pale in comparison.

I'm not doing this for Doug Parker.

So if ALPA said 'come back and we will nix the Nic', your response would be no, because some of your buddies (or you) run USAPA and enjoy being big fish in a small pond?

What economic benefits for me? Pale in comparison to what? Some future you want to create? Look we get "YOUR" situation just like we get 924, you have had enough you want yours regardless, hey I understand your position but I will never endorse it! The economic benefits will not be proportional, It aint rocket science well I will take those numbers if you have them handy!

When you send those numbers pleez acct for the last EAST non furloughed pilot under the NIC and when PHX is closed his economic gain! Compared to a WEST pilot hired the same time!

Can you cite your source(s) where the DOJ or others in a position of authority/control have stated that this is personal against Parker, or where they claim Parker hates employees and despises his customers? Otherwise, you are just projecting your negative feelings into someone else's words where they never made such a claim.

Every workgroup except the pilots have reached a new bargaining agreement under Parker as CEO. The pilots could have had that in 2007 but the east pilots chose a SLI quagmire strategy instead of pursuing wage improvements. And as far as customers go, they generate demand for low fares and reliable service to their destinations. Providing travel services that meet customer demand is not the definition of despising one's customers. Offering people what they don't want or demand as their highest purchase selection criteria might meet the definition of despising, but what LCC does certainly does not. What is the LF again?

I would suggest you find a quiet place and actually read the entire complaint. It does not paint a pretty picture of our managment. Since I consider the fine people of Pittsburgh to be customers, I suggest you also read the Forbes article posted here yesterday, that actually calls Parker a liar. Not my words. The press is turning on our airline's leadership. Just watch for the negative articles to follow. Do as you wish, sign your petitions, march, whatever. RR

Was that 15 year guy working or furloughed? Did he have furlough time?

Maybe the "We're comfortable with our position" wasn't the correct response.

More like a 17 year guy, slotted behind a 6 month, probationary (not even a union member) West new hire and no, I've never been furloughed. The fact that the AWA new hire is over twenty years younger that me, just rubbed salt in the wound. It's never a good idea to add insult to injury!

Incriminating communiques can work both ways. The DOJ action smells of lobbying efforts by those who would gain from this merger failing. I hope someone discovers an electronic trail from the DOJ to the executive suites at DAL, SWA, UAL and others.

It took most of yesterday's news and discussion, and a third reading of the complaint, to realize this is over. I asked a few days ago if this was personal (about Parker) and some answered "no." But it indeed IS personal, this is about Parker, who is being singled out in the business world as a CEO who not only hates his employees, but also despises the travelling public. And a CEO who is not afraid to put that kind of stuff on tape and in emails. He has said for years employee moral makes no business sense. The Obama administration is going to make an example of the overreach of big business, and Parker will be their symbol. He has made it very easy for them to make their case. I am not here to spread gloom and doom, but I have already advised my own family and friends not to waste their time trying to follow all the legal events to come. Don't allow false hopes to ruin your lives, it is time to move on. All the petitions and rah rah rallys on Capitol Hill with labor and Parker arm and arm are just going to disgust the public. They now have a peek behind the curtain of a CEO that treats his own employees as disposables and his passengers as simply cows to be milked. Those unpleasant analogies are not the way you create the largest airline in the world. Such epic enterprises must be done with grace, humility, and especially with the loyal following of your own employees. Stick a fork in it. RR

Obama and Holder had George Zimmerman squarely in their cross hairs, the media pumped lies against Zman and favorable to Trayvon like Stalin's Pravda, and it appeared certain Zman was gonna be drawn and quartered in the public square--Frankly I was shocked the jury members didn't find him guilty of something out of mere self preservation instincts.

I won't bother to make a prediction about obama/Holder's hard on for DUI.

I will never write a letter for Parker. Get rid of him, then yes.

Agreed. Let us not forget the emails noting such laughable notions as "industry standard contracts" to just be "silly stuff", right up there with "more leg room" and "wine" (how appropriate). How ANYone, especially among employee groups, could still support that individual and his cronies is a complete mystery to me at this point.

No, that's not my position.

The NAC says 1.5B$ in benefits from the merger. You say standalone under LOA93 equals more. Show me your numbers first.

Has the Govt. given up on going after Zimmerman for a civil rights violation? Hopefully they are not dumb enough to open a new can of worms.
