RR I gotta call you on election season accusations. You were one of the first to post in a way to sway votes in the CLT election. Frankly I was a bit disappointed as I thought you wouldn't insult voters that way. But its a free country so you can post how you want.

I don't have a problem with you calling people out if you think they are engaging in politics now with stories of HUMMELL, BRADFORD, CIABOTTONI.... but you should do so more cleanly....

While BRADFORD might appreciate your denial that he "in particular" would never make such a deal... I would think that HUMMELL, and CIABOTTONI would have appreciated a firm, clear denial on their behalf as well... even more so than a counter accusations about politics.

First, I was very clear returning to this board that is was for the CLT elections season. I have strayed due to current events. I will promise to stray (away) in a few weeks at the end of said elections. Look at my first post a few weeks back. I don't trust Ciabattoni as far as I can throw, but I will go out on a limb and defend him that no deals were made. His working relationship with his west counterpart is just that, a working relationship in Grievance. Again, anonymous postings on a web board and you are giving denial a "firm" requirement. Let me be clear(direct), and not Gay. This entire issue is BS, and has zero meaning outside the current elections in CLT. The MOU is dead. The merger is dead, and you are not even currently on the property, other than endorsing Courtney in an election message. That involvement is stunning, indicating adoration to a long gone short, stout fitness freak who went out on a medical, and then sued his own union for vacation and copyright violations. RR

You should stick to denials.

Your great umbridge or disdain for useless anonymous weboard postings is understandable... But you then immediately participated in the same exact wild accusations yourself. I have never endorsed anyone in this election and I assure you I have sway over no vote accept my own.

But I am honored you felt threatened enough by your imaginations of me to actually stoop low enough to employ those useless internet postings that you disparage.

Touché’ dude. And let’s make sure this entire affair and all exchanges here never prevent us from drinking some cold superhero beer together. I hope you have not given that up! RR

How handy to be a west pilot. Blame USAPA and the DOJ for your sad life.

You were hired as a pilot by america west airlines because they were the only one that would.

Ok Claxon, time to put up or shut up. When i got hired by AWA i had over 5k hrs, check airman, lots of 121 pic, graduated with honors from college, and a spotless flying record. In my new hire class everyone had plenty of PIC time, there were 2 fighter pilots and even an east ex 737 captain. What were your quals when you got hired at US?

ATP, first class medical and 1500 hours. Company gave the type rating. BOOM! INSTANT CAPTAIN!

Congrats, sounds like good timing. That's about what I had when I was hired at a commuter. Same thing, BOOM! Instant captain. That was a ways prior to 9/11 and I remember management screaming bloody murder about the training costs due to captains jumping to the majors left and right. United, Delta, and American were all hiring.

I was providing sarcasm....nonetheless my point being is why do you beat your chest with your qualifications when you got hired? What does it matter? Your "qualifications" you describe imply that you are the exception and everyone else graduated at the bottom of their college, even maybe not going to college, have bad flying records and were sitting right seat in a C-172.

I really don't see your point hear other than listening to the superior intellect of a West pilot.

Also, the point here is an ATP with a first class medical and 1500 hours can do your job. What's going to stop them from taking your job if you don't get what you want? Remember, the Company doesn't care about seniority, they just won't pay for it.

Either post what you were hired with or may I respectfully suggest letting Claxon answer the question.

Oh. I get it. Personal vendetta. Like the one we had with Metrojet who isn't a pilot for us but yet chimes in with totally useless and non factual posts and continues to calling East pilots scabs. You attack people that support our position but are not pilots yet continue to agree and encourage those on your side of the river that support you and are not pilots.

Another wasted point on your attempt.

Well, still no public statement from USAPA HQ regarding the DOJ lawsuit. The news cycle has moved on for now. Maybe they are planning a full page ad in USAToday. Let's not forget that 75% of the pilot group voted for the MOU and by implication support the merger. But HQ only listens to the pilots when they need a vote, or so it seems.

If the merger were to tank, I wonder if Parker would resign. I don't know how loyal the board is to him. He managed to weather the DUI. Would Kirby then take the helm, or a dark horse like Isom? Anybody have an opinion? Anybody care?

One more thing. These incriminating internal emails which the DOJ is using as part of their case and which are being cited in news articles everywhere, how did the DOJ get access to them? Were they leaked?

No.

Also, since I don't care to go foraging through the legal library this morning, does anyone know if the injunction against USAPA continues indefinitely? What specific event would trigger its termination?
