A lot of us paid our dues outside of HP and were furloughed twice. Desert Storm and 9/11 come to mind.
That's why many wanted a national seniority number if you recall. The Braniff guys certainly pushed for this. Too much greed around for it to work. Too similar to date of hire!

Hmm....For the life of me; I just can't seem to remember ANYone during Desert Storm clamoring for artificially enhanced "seniority"/rank/etc, and certainly not just because some arbitrator said they were "special", and thus; somehow magically above their comrades. What did I miss there/then? 😉 Well...In fairness though; there weren't a whole lotta' "spartans", "knights" and "dire wolves" anywhere around to ask. There were quite a few, vile old easties around though.

9/11 left none untouched. Those who truly "paid" their "dues" then were in the crashed aircraft, the Towers and the Pentagon. What's your point?

Lastly; "were furloughed twice" implies that some notable experience and sacrifice was inherent in that = "paid our dues"? How'd you come to so disrespect that where east pilots are concerned?...You know? = The ones you want your then-newhires permanently placed above?

I had an e-mail conversation with Capt. Gay today (he doesn't post or lurk here). I mentioned that you were using a picture of his (again). He said the following: "Send Messr. Claxon a private message with this image and tell him it’s compliments of Steve Gay. Have him say Howdy! the next time he sees me in CLT or PHL!"

He attached a nice picture in the e-mail. If you send me your e-mail address, you can use that picture.

You'd like to pull gear for Capt. Gay. A very nice man with a great photographic eye. A gentleman that I am sure could teach you manners and humility.

Have a great day, Cupcake!

You are a liar sir, I thought you were a christian.

Stephen Gay (clear direct) is not a lurker, he is a posting stalker who assisted management.

Stephen Gay, clear direct, kept USA320 well informed about court proceedings. “Similar comments” (sarcasm) were posted by USA320 on usaviation at the same time Stephen was heading to the airport from court. Shortly after USA320 post, cleardirectstephen posted a flame bait.

There are many “similarities”, I provided examples of a few, you can find more.

Stephen Gay and USA320 are the quintessential reasons for the downfall of the pilot profession.

“bag tags (box sent from USAPA to the CLT CP) say "I Am on Board. Safety First" in yellow and on back "I've had Enough. I Am Ready To Strike" on the back in red. Company shows evidence that it was sent from USAPA HQ, using their postage meter.”

breaking news of sorts. yesterday USAPA sent a priority mail box to clt cp office with rather large job action bag tags in it.

USA320
“Company presented Tom Kubic's "roadmap to the slowdown". So far Darin Lee, Carrie Hester (Sr. VP) and Hogg have testified.

“USAPA attorney tried to mix it up with Darin Lee over regression analysis and if it really proved anything. Bad idea, Mr. Lawyer.

“Hogg said relations between ALPA safety committee and company were cordial. ALPA did not try and politicize safety.

I guess it's not such a bad idea as long as you don't count the hours sitting on the couch waiting to be recalled or waiting for the job offer.

Let's see here: "manners and humility" is elegantly prefaced by "Hey Maroon", and immediately followed with: "Have a great day, Cupcake!"...? 😉 You just can't make this kind of stuff up. 🙂

Do we have any other shining examples of elected reps shining so?

One must always consider the conditions in the pond from which a fish is drawn. 😉

The arbitors of the America West and Delta Northwest mergers don't agree with you.

Apples and oranges. Arbitrators don't know "Squat" about the pilot profession and the NIC proves that! I think the soon to be completed United-Continental arbitration will also and if it goes as far "off track" as it very well may, the APA will be motivated to achieve a negotiated SLI agreement as should USAPA. Why the APA would want a bunch of non-pilot lawyers controlling the outcome of their seniority agreement (I know I don't) is a mystery to me. Talk about a "pig in a poke", as in aviation, loss of control rarely ever turns out well.

Why so concerned? You east pilots have told the world that DoH is the gold standard. If true the APA should not worry and the UAL should not worry.

It will just be DOH right?

Must not be that important considering the money they make.

How much do you make?

The fact that "money" seems to be your most important consideration in all this, clearly defines what you are. Now that you have defined your "character" it just boils down to how much you want to charge for your "services". How low would you be willing to go, for your "efforts"? Would the Kirby have done it for you? Probably.

You ask, what's your point? I'm trying my best to challenge a system while keeping in mind I have friends out East. I find myself in agreement with your conservative views at the cooler. I like the Chris Christie and O'Reilty approach, be direct and decisive. Parker, Prater and the 9th are cut from the same cloth.

Tissue.

Keep that DOH dream alive.

I can hold junior NB Reserve, DOH at American would make me a senior NB Captain or a WB block holder.

It ain't going to happen.

This is going to arbitration.
